had a blueberry bagel with pumpkin cream cheese this morning and it was delicious but also just a donut with extra steps. savory bagel remains the correct moral choice

Minister Dan Williams says Edmonton council will have 3 months to fix its land use bylaws on infill, with a focus on limits housing types, density and heights. Edmonton will also have to reestablish parking requirements to prior 2020 standards.

Casually throwing away a decade of work, probably 10s of millions of dollars worth, and making Edmonton start from scratch. Stopping a building boom in its tracks too. Red tape reduction my ass.

For years I've mentally written off P v NP as the equivalent of creating the philosopher's stone, and it's finally sinking in that it might be solved in my lifetime. my metric for whether I'm familiar with a neighborhood is if i know which crossings are beg buttons

aly@aly.codes

this is extremely not consistent by city, jurisdiction, or even road. you have to push the beg button on my street to cross but basically none of the streets around me require it.
