Two days after Stella O’Malley called gender dysphoria a “cluster of psychological symptoms” needing a “psychological response,” her organisation, Genspect, is paying to put that “response” in front of people on Reddit. Stella has no formal credentials or training in actual gender medicine FWIW.

She’s not a physician, endocrinologist, psychiatrist or clinical psychologist, and there’s nothing in her public background about formal training in gender medicine. Her "authority" comes from the org she founded, her media work and her own documentary, not from any clinical credentials.

Talarico’s response got 25.5K views on X. Musk’s “take away your kids… Pure evil” post got 43 million. Musk is funding the ads, writing the posts, and owning the platform that decides how far each side’s message travels. And of course most of the ads are either deeply transphobic trash or bigoted.

Musk paid for nearly all the ads against Talarico, because Paxton would then owe him. Look at the bottom-right ad: it quotes Talarico saying “Defending trans Texans is something we have to do every day” and runs it as an attack. Standing up for trans people is presented as the disqualifying thing.

Wild to me that he can stand up there and do this, proving clear malice, and the courts will just be like "MMmmm...No, they aren't biased against trans people at all. Let them kick the trans people out of the military, while we investigate every other aspect of their lives, criminally. No bias!"

LGB Alliance US Division is apparently Locking In. Do anti-gender fascists have any new ideas, or do they just recycle everything endlessly and create their own warped simulacrum of reality? Because really, it seems like the latter.

if Log Cabin's stated objection really were about minors, the logical position would be "we support adult trans people fully and have concerns about care for minors specifically." Instead they walked back trans inclusion entirely, adults included, while using minors as the rhetorical justification.

Using children as sympathy objects, following through on a Frogs 4 Scorpions platform is disgusting, and I'm tired of people waving around Think Of The Children before doing something clearly, obviously fascist. You aren't fooling anyone, hon, and they still won't invite you to CPAC Grindr parties.

The new report resorts to flamethrower language from its title page though its 64 pages. Its focus is entirely on demonising the medical profession and asserting without any substantiation that major medical groups, doctors and advocates are all engaging in a broad conspiracy.

This is something GC activists are doing a lot, demeaning critics of their movement, while, essentially admitting that those "trolls" were right about the fascism of their movement, so much so that they have lost the energy to be a part of their movement because of it.

did you ever notice that the "Christly" people railing against the existence of trans people and intersex visibility always say the decline of the west is due to the acceptance of these people? They never once consider that actually, just maybe, God's pissed because of their hatred and bigotry?

That's always the tell with evil people who hide behind scripture and their own piety. God miraculously believes every hateful opinion; scripture justifies every moment of bigotry, every disaster is condemnation for tolerance. Never once do they think, "What if I AM the problem and it's my hatred?"

It takes an especially dark mind to think of a minority group that experiences elevated levels of sexual violence, framing them as a perpetual "threat" for the crime of existence, but it also shows that even as victims of crimes, trans people are perpetually labeled as unworthy of consideration.

An organization that stood up to the Soviet Union, to Guantánamo, to death squads, couldn't withstand one billionaire's private legal war chest and a legal system with no anti-SLAPP protection. The UK is a failing police state ran for the benefit of the wealthy at the expense of scapegoats.

Good-faith concern on this issue would be going, "hmm, professional sports leagues should probably have some standards in place to ensure trans competitors aren't getting an unfair advantage," googling for 5 minutes, realizing every sports league already has those standards and dropping it.

Rodger Sherman@rodger.bsky.social

i don't believe anyone has "good-faith" concerns about trans women in sports in 2026. there's been too much time to hear the actual evidence, the actual people affected, and the role the debate plays in attempts to purge trans people from American life. anybody picking that side has made a choice

Republicans want to demand all women wear dresses and makeup. The way they're doing this? Pretending it's about a tiny handful of teachers, in all of North Carolina. Why would you pass a compulsory dress code for citizens that applies to 12 people unless you eventually wanted it for 50% of them?

For non-bible people, Deuteronomy also includes rules against: mixed fabrics (22:11) sowing two kinds of seed in a vineyard (22:9) a lack of a parapet on your roof (22:8) a lack of tassels on the 4 corners of your cloak (22:12) Nobody at CEA is scoring lawmakers on polyester blends or tassels.

The parapet one is also the only rule in that cluster with an actual stated reason that works in contemporary times: so nobody falls off your dangerous and rickety roof. It's a building code. That one they could keep and it would do some good for tradies and shinglers at least.

A rule policing whether women look sufficiently like a "woman" enforced by administrators and by parent complaints, falls hardest on Black and Latina women, on butch lesbians, plus-size women, or on anyone whose features or build or hair don't read as white femininity or adhere to those standards.

A rep who has a 94% voting record with the "Christian Employers Alliance." Look at what CEA attached to HB 606 and HB 805, both of which Paré voted for: Deuteronomy 22:5, because of course it's the ol' 'deuter. The fundies are here with the prosperity gospel and they want to control how you dress.

The CROWN Act exists in about half the states because "professional appearance" standards were being used against Black hair, and it exists because courts kept saying that was lawful. Even if the intent here is just to vindictively target trans people, I would be skeptical to think it'd stop there.

In New Zealand, the medical board responsible for managing doctors had all of its members removed for "ideology" and now, two political appointees have been made to the board by a Christofascist minister on purely ideological lines. Both have ties to "The Free Speech Union." One is a proud TERF.

I'm just thinking about how the current US government is full of ideologically-driven demagogues who are dismantling systems that reflect basic reality because they conflict with their delusions about a white christian jingoist-driven empire. Everything they're doing is sewn with it, even tech.

Climate change isn't real even though a heat dome is producing 120° days in Kansas. Trans people aren't real despite every scientist and sociologist watching this genocide. Diarrhea lettuce everywhere because food inspection is woke. The self destruction while they cheer and clap is mesmerizing.

A government willing to lie about trans people to justify persecution is the same government that'll lie about AI capabilities or economic data when it's convenient, and institutions built on that pattern tend to eventually produce their own failures somewhere unrelated to where the cruelty started.

If I'm on a call with a trans person in Asia and it gives me a script to deny their existence because it's "woke," or convert a gay man, or it tells me to bring up white south african genocide during a sales call, why would I choose that over an open model or one from a regime not ran by clowns?

A sales call, a support chat...none of that has room for a model injecting ideological content nobody asked for, misgendering, or hedging on whether a customer's identity is real. That's not values, it's liability and reliability. But this is what they want, and it'll ruin US competitiveness.

Trans/intersex affirming researchers can bring facts, charts, expertise, experience, to the public. The media puts this on equal with a deeply unwell children's author and pretends "A doctor squinted, kinda saw a vagina in 1959, so now you're destined to be a broodmare" is a good way to run society.

They plan to remove an exhibit about the changing shape of girlhood because it's considered indoctrination. Everything the anti-trans political movement can't understand is automatically "propaganda" or "ideology." They can't process information. Anything different is a threat. It's embarrassing.

newsweek.comTrump plans exhibits near Smithsonian to correct "inaccurate information"The order is part of Trump's wider effort to reshape how American history is presented at federally supported museums.

You have studies saying there's no performance advantage of trans people after HRT? Lies! Trans children exist? Propaganda! Estrogen doesn't make people violent despite Elon's ranting? Cope! They have zero ability to perceive reality or synthesize information anymore and it's destroying the world.

Trans women are not men identifying as women. They are women. That fact won't ever change no matter how many times anti-trans actors compel and coerce others to think otherwise.
