Get your pumpkin carving kit *now* before it's later tonight and you convince yourself a steak knife will work just fine, but it won't and you'll be posting on Bluesky saying, "I just lacerated myself carving a pumpkin. CPSC is going to be so disappointed in me :( "

If you’re out and about near the middle of the state (yes, Buc-ees counts; we’re 20 min away from there), we’ve got snacks & a black bean chili waiting. Drop in, get a nosh & a fright, and enjoy this fall weather. Also, come meet the dog. 😁 Hope to see folks here or at #stoatsview

our website is still down so if you are craving some kind of website-based experience with The Museum of English Rural Life, we recommend heading to our page on @wikipedia.org

Our website is currently down while we resolve the same PHP issues that are affecting so many other sites. But we're fine, emotionally. And the museum is still open. There's even a scone with your name on it.

This is how you eventually get packs of feral hogs vs war dogs 😐

Got my second shingles shot lined up for a couple of weeks from now. Also thought, “what the hey - why not get the pneumonia shot as well?” Going to be sore for a bit but my immune system will be mighty.

Finally got someone over to get an estimate on trimming back a tree and doing serious dead branch pickup in the backyard… only to then have bathroom lights stop working. Yay. I know I am seriously lucky to have a house, but it feels like repairs just go on and on. 🙄
