Let me share some positive news for a change: Despite all the gloomy headlines today, my understanding is that there are multiple paths actively being explored that would save Arkane Lyon. Anything can happen during negotiations, but at this point I'd be surprised if the studio is shut down.

So earlier, my brother was watching Octobinz (Romain Toutain)'s livestream on Twitch. He was the Technical Director on Mass Effect Universe, so I wanted to share some bits he discussed. As he speaks french, I added subtitles to make it more accessible for everyone! #MassEffect #MassEffectUniverse

Time for some mass effect tribute and listening to ME3 ost. Shepard always the goat.

Looking for game devs who have been directly inspired by anything BioWare for my next video. I suspect the public likely doesn’t quite realize the extent of their influence on the industry, so I’d really like to highlight that. If you are one such game devs, pls reply to this post!

#SaveMassEffect Sign the Petition - www.change.org/p/savemassef... Sharing some old Mass Effect fan art I drew back in the day. Here my favorite matriarch, Samara. I always loved the mystique and aura she radiated. I'll probably start posting old fan art a day to help promote the petition. 1/2

The petition may go nowhere, but I'd like to think it shows those who worked at #Bioware how much it meant to the fans, how much fans are still interested in such works, that storytelling is very much still adored & treasured. No matter how futile, their stories are worth fighting for. Love,Winde2/2

While North Mist figures out fast approaching Nov 7th and Dec 4th we'll shine slittle bit of light on our own projects we've been working away at since leaving BioWare. Will it replace the loss? Absolutely not. But hope for new beginnings seems what the doctor ordered about now.

BioWare's loss has impacted our team as many of us spent over a decade working on their games. While we'll never be able to recapture the glory days exactly as they were, you can find some of the former BW team are still here, still making games, trying to do our roots proud.

I never worked on the ME franchise, but I did play the shit out of the games (and felt a bit envious about some things that team seemed to do so effortlessly). My heart goes out to those who were on the current team, cooking up something wonderful only to have it yanked away. This looks SO good. 😭

Can confirm that this is a real trailer of the Mass Effect game that BioWare was developing up until its closure yesterday www.reddit.com/r/masseffect...

My first BW staff badge, 2006. It was a huge privilege to be a small part of something that brought so many people together all around the world. The thriving relationships made through BioWare games are a comforting legacy today. Here’s to the good times. 🍻

I am so sorry to hear about this BioWare garbage. Some of the most talented people in the arts are working in games right now and they can be wiped out by some douchebag finance move. Urgh. Please consider hiring ex-BioWare employees, they are some of the best in the business.

Saw the trailer that they were sitting on via reddit. man, so sad that won't ever be. matriarch liara, spy n7 pc. I loved the feel of the trailer. *feels restless* mannnn

A journey through only some of the many pieces and characters I made through the years for Dragon Age, going as early as almost ten years ago (one of my earliest digital art works).

Let's keep the train of art inspired by Bioware games going 💖 DAO was one of the first games I played as an adult and Veilguard lifted me from a creative slump. I'd not be where I am artistically without it. ME and DA got me through so much and I'll forever be thankful to the devs for creating them

Love the idea, let's start a train of art inspired by Bioware games ❤️ These stories mean the world to me, its characters inspired me for years, the artists and writers behind them literally helped shape my artistic journey. I am thankful for everything you've created 🫶

Giving the news about #Bioware, wanted to shoutout North Mist Studios which includes some Bioware alumni. They're working on a game called "The Concierge" which is "a story of Canadian assassins in a spy thriller office drama." www.patreon.com/cw/NorthMist... www.northmiststudios.com

Former BioWare Senior Writers Mary Kirby (Varric, Vivienne, Lucanis) and Sylvia Feketekuty (Liara, Josephine, Emmrich) and Sarah Hayward (Former BioWare Cinematic Director) have found a home at North Mist with many others in our network.

Very heavy news as our former studio, BioWare closes its doors today. It was a formative place for many. However, many former BioWare devs are scattered around the industry. Find them, support them. Like, follow, comment and help us prove there is still support for the types of games we make!

Count me among those mourning BioWare. Its influence on my work is beyond measure. Bree & I fell in love because of Dragon Age. The seeds of The Witch Wolf began in Dragon Age RP. DAI got me through lockdown and inspired me to create for myself again. I will always be grateful for the BioWare team.

The very last task I had at BioWare before I left to pursue a new opportunity was to paint this pose of Solas embracing the Inquisitor (I didn't paint this entire image, it was just the figures). Even at the time it felt poignant that this would be my last contribution to Dragon Age.

It's a strange sort of grief when something that made up almost twenty years of my life suddenly ceases to exist. Like a broken bone aching when the weather changes. Sending love to all my old colleagues and all the fans today.

I had an incredible high school teacher whose words feel so relevant today. Paraphrasing (cuz it was years and years ago) If you want a strong indicator of the health of a society, look at how that society values its artists.

Yeah basically EA ran them into the ground with bad decisions, then once TOR was gone they had the grounds to just disintegrate them based on some spreadsheets due to bad numbers that management caused. If Bioware had been allowed to just make Dragon Age / Mass Effects as they liked they'd be here.
