This is objectively psychotic and every member of Congress and Senate should be ashamed if they don’t try to remove him from office before this happens

So much false equivalence in media on gerrymandering in Texas vs California & Virginia. California and Virginia maps approved by the voters. That's a huge difference not enough people pointing out

Stick 'em all in one resolution, with one or down vote. Let's see who actually believes in standards of decency versus scoring bullshit partisan political points.

NEW: Dems set to force a vote to expel Tony Gonzales next week in response to Luna's vote to expel Eric Swalwell, leadership aides tell @axios.com If these pass it could trigger a chain reaction, per sources, with votes targeting Cherfilus-McCormick + Mills. www.axios.com/2026/04/11/e...

Indeed. I’m enjoying the schadenfreude but I’m no dummy.

Looks like Greg Bovino is the chosen fall guy as the Trump admin scrambles to navigate the anti-ICE backlash. Reportedly being "forced into retirement" and denied access to his social media accounts. Don't accept it for a second. Keep pushing for full accountability.

I’m completely fed up with elected Representatives saying shit like, “Republicans will tell you behind closed doors that they don’t agree with what ICE is doing”. Playtime is over. Professional courtesy no longer exists. Name them, record them, and make it public.

laurtev.bsky.social reposted

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

But Health insurers use the vaccine schedule to decide what they have to pay for. Some people won’t be able to afford vaccines that have been removed.

Gallego is right, and the weak-ass Schumer/Jeffries demands for briefings are inadequate. Sure, ask for a briefing from the crew launching military strikes from a Mar A Lago ballroom while scrolling twitter, whatever. But what is needed is action. Vote to stop the war. Do it this week.

FOX NEWS: What are your expectations when you get briefings from senior Trump administration officials in the coming days? GALLEGO: Well, they're just gonna lie

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers. Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they?

Going to take more than statements to deal with this situation - he does not care and unless you change your ways this is now normal - Congress has does nothing to curtail this lunatic

Tuesday’s elections were NOT about the Democratic Party. They were about candidates focusing on the wants and needs of their constituents; about new leaders prepared to fight; about representation in every sense of the word. Party leaders haven’t absorbed this yet.

laurtev.bsky.social reposted

We spent months working to rebuild the Democratic brand in the eyes of young voters who wanted leaders who'd fight for them. Senate Democrats just lit all that work on fire.

laurtev.bsky.social reposted

A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

Caving on the shutdown won’t make you “moderate.” It makes you WEAK! Giving Republicans what they want for NOTHING more than a “promise” of a vote and risking millions of Americans’ healthcare isn’t compromise—it’s surrender and it’s the most RADICAL thing you could do in this moment. 1/

This Senate deal is political malpractice. Americans like me will be burdened with health insurance that is not affordable. If the Democrats doing this deal think that it is for voters like me, they are wrong. What a failure of imagination and leadership.

@peters.senate.gov @kaine.senate.gov Do you see this senators??! I am from MI with lots of family in VA. WE stand with this person. We are willing to fight through the pain for future gains. We are willing to see this through. Why aren't you?? bsky.app/profile/laur...

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard. We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions. We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

@peters.senate.gov @schumer.senate.gov @hassan.senate.gov @kaine.senate.gov @shaheen.senate.gov I could not say this any better than Maura has posted below. For god's sake do not betray us. Vote no. bsky.app/profile/maur...

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

I’m calling for new leadership in the Democratic Party. So many democrats want to do the right thing, but leadership is stopping them with the unspoken threat of refusing to give them leadership positions down the road. NEW DEM LEADERSHIP NOW!! #NewDemLeadership

Critical messaging for Dems if they're being forced into a shutdown. Undo the cuts to Social Security, VA health care, cancer care research. Put the DOGE boys into a boxes w chaperones if the Republican want help. NEED TO BE CRYSTAL CLEAR about what's at stake immediately in peoples lives.

Justin Trudeau gave the exact kind of press conference today that we have been waiting for from our Democratic leaders. Watch it and learn from it. No gimmicks, no stunts, no script, no platitudes, no slogans, no games. Just straight talk, honesty, sincerity and facts.

I'm sorry, but "they took over the whole federal payments system, fired the career staff, and won't let anybody see what they're doing" is not a situation in which you wait for more information. It's a situation in which you assume the worst. There's no explanation for it other than rampant crimes.

Hi all, We’re still here at OPM. We have a situation where we MIGHT, and I do mean, MIGHT have four of Elon’s people blocked from the building. Can we get press or a member of Congress down here? We’ve blocked them for two hours and they keep coming back and trying to go in.

Senate needs to respond to mass firings of Jan 6 attack prosecutors by rejecting Trump nominees. Have a spine and stand up to this autocratic effort to rewrite history and embolden political violence. Block Bondi and Patel.

Democratic lawmakers need to understand something: Imagine your house is on fire. Fire truck shows up. Firefighters get out. They look at the fire, then at you, and say: "Such a fire is a grave threat. This house will not sustain." And just stand there. This is how many of you are coming across.

In a functioning democracy, a president who -tries to seize Congress's constitutional spending powers -attempts to rewrite the Constitution unilaterally -pardons violent insurrectionists who attacked the government -fires the Inspectors General and DOJ prosecutors would face immediate impeachment

You are up to date.
