‼️NEW AD‼️ When you spend your career in the courtroom, you know the difference between someone who talks about justice and someone who fights for it. County Attorneys John Choi knows that difference. And he knows we'll keep fighting together for Minnesota.

I did everything I could to keep her off the ballot. It didn’t work. And now I will not stand by while grown-ass adults try to excuse letting a fascist/Trump apologist win by default. YOU CANNOT FIX A BROKEN SYSTEM ON ELECTION DAY. Vote blue and keep on fighting every fucking day.

I would fucking love it if you all would stop making me come on here and tell you to grow the fuck up. You have to fill in the box next to Klob’s name. I hate her too—probably even more than you do. But DeMuth is worse. If you do not vote for Klob, you are voting against Minnesota.

In Minnesota we love and take care of our neighbors. We are the Olive Garden of America - if you're here, you're family. We certainly aren't falling for stupid anti Somali rhetoric. Sit your exo-skeleton down, Trump. And shut your yap.

Today Trump told Minnesotans to "fight back" against our Somali neighbors. This is dangerous, despicable, and should be condemned by everyone. 1/

As I head to bed, I'm thinking about the rideshare drivers in our city. Most of them are Black and immigrant workers, putting in long nights to build a life here, the way my parents did. During the federal occupation, they kept driving while living in fear, and our community showed up for them. 1/

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

We saw this pattern with Renee Good, Alex Pretti, and Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis here in Minneapolis. We saw it with Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston. This is an agency operating in secrecy, refusing accountability, treating our communities as a hunting ground. Abolish ICE and the entire system. 2/

Nick Bilton is a big fat baby. Can't handle an employee speaking up in a meeting. Big crybaby weak-ass whining coward. You can't run a news show if you are worried about people being mean to you.

Under Mayor Frey’s leadership, we have seen a consistent lack of accountability at MPD and this was no different. My hope is that Mayor Frey will work with the City Council in finding a new Chief and Commissioner for the Office of Community Safety. Jason Chavez 3/

Minnesota hasn't had such a great day since our most amazing day which was Halloween 1991. The day we proved that we could thrive and yes trick or treat against all odds. Springtime for the Wolves and Wild and Twins. Winter for Denver and Dallas.

You know, there are a lot of other Democrats running for governor of California who *haven't* demonstrated a clear patten of abusing their public office for personal gratification

When I got into the parking ramp elevator with a crowd of strangers after the Bruce Springsteen show, I looked around and said "Great show!" And one woman nodded and said "yes! And he pronounced 'Nicollet' correctly!" and all of us nodded in unison. Grateful

As backlash to Trump’s deportation agenda grows, some lawmakers are reconsidering votes that expanded immigrant detention and ICE power. Our latest explainer from Alex Pareene, Vera's new senior writer, breaks down how the political consensus behind harsh immigration policies is starting to crack:

This blatant xenophobic racism against an entire group of immigrants is unacceptable, and every member of Congress who cheered it is a horrifying stain on America.
