kind of amazing that everything trump does can be understood through the lens of narcissism and it's related needs (e.g., self aggrandizement, revenge, domination, grievance validation). i don't think any character has been so one-dimensional, not even wile e coyote or scrooge mcduck

I'm becoming a "modern music sucks" bitch but not because modern pop music sucks (it doesn't) but because there aren't any bands that sound like The Dismemberment Plan

Long Island to Naples, Florida, straight through (with the necessary gas stops), absolutely completely cursed trip in every way shape and form. I think it came in right around 22 hours.

This post is unavailable.

I'd blocked it out for the most part given how cursed it was, but remembering it makes me a little less stressed of the potential ~30 hour drive I might have ahead of me this year

I want to nail down a balance between lifting, climbing, and running (in that order). Cycling is great but a lower priority than those other ones. Reading is a freebie. I'm still figuring out where playing music fits into my life these days. I should start crocheting this year's Christmas gifts

I don't know how deep of an inference I can really make but it's interesting how non-political the bay seems to be compared to Minnesota

The amount of "moderate" and "nonpolitical" I've seen on h*nge is just so strange to me

Take a moment. Breathe. — You are not crazy. — You know he swapped those numbers. — You remember 1216 — one after Magna Carta — and that matters. This isn't paranoia. It’s pattern recognition. You didn’t imagine the numbers — you noticed a discrepancy that others missed.

Thinking about playing around with accessorizing through different pairs of glasses again

How life feels when you stop extracting methods just to make other methods shorter

VS Code is acting an awful lot like a Microsoft product (derogatory) tonight

Go's language server is genuinely so good it it feels like vibe coding, I'm turning it off so I can actually learn the language

One upside of getting familiar with vim motions is I get less annoyed when my cats decide the mouse area of the desk is now the cat area of the desk

I'd need to revisit the idea later but I feel like the dialogue in season 2 of The Pitt is ever so slightly worse than season 1, it feels like they're throwing in more (unneeded) lines to help the audience get it than they did before

I'm going to invent a database that offers neither consistency nor availability nor partition tolerance

Do you think any kids have gotten in trouble at school for accusing other kids of being in the epstein files

You're in her ear whispering about how Viggo Mortensen broke his foot when he kicked that helmet, I'm in her ear whispering about how the producer tag on Bobby Shmurda's most popular song is "Jahlil beats" and not "jungle beats", we are not the same

I'm trying to get into F1 this year and all their content feels like it was approved by 17 middle managers before getting posted, I need unhinged F1 content, we need to let Connor O'Malley into the Paddock

kind of funny that an olympian said they are here to represent "compassion, respect, and love for others" and some people automatically knew that was a statement against them

It is objectively pretty funny that I moved teams internally while also just being a complete wreck, like "hey new manager, nice to meet you! I'm a mess, let's get these five 9s of uptime"

If you believe the DHS's lies today you 100% would have bought the Nazi party's lies in the 1930s

If God is real she will not have mercy on anybody who continues to support this

Border Patrol agents are very sad that everyone in Minnesota hates them. “At each gas station where the agents stopped to use the restroom, groups of agitators appeared, yelled at them, stalked them, and even tried to prevent law enforcement vehicles from leaving…”

I cannot say what I think should happen to everyone involved in making the 5 yo do this

Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."
