Reform want to rollback workers' rights and cut taxes for billionaires. Spain did the opposite - and has one of the fastest growing economies in Europe.

A Gulf state buys a club, reportedly hides the money, lawyers up. Owners now police a rival owner. Epstein: same secrecy, offshore shells, mutual protection. Neither topples the ruling class. Both bust the myth of self-policing. But us ordinary folk are the biggest losers.

Just 4 months after the local elections, Reform UK (RefUK) have lost 158 of their local councillors: -55 resigned -42 went Independent -28 defected -24 were kicked out -5 lost their seats -2 disqualified -2 suspended. Appalling record - and a waste of taxpayers’ money!

St Giles’ Fair has lit up Oxford for 4 centuries & tonight it was warm, noisy, human, a multicoloured rush of people moving together. A brilliant, contrast to the soulless, stale theatrics of the racist mobs. This was Britain at its best: in full colour, confident, diverse, gloriously alive.

The Daily Mail's best paid columnist is Boris Johnson. A man more deserving of scrutiny across the last two decades than practically anyone else in public life.

The right-wing media hounding of Jason Arday: 188 articles in the space of a few days. 158 articles in The Daily Mail, Times, Daily Telegraph, Daily Express & Spectator. Maybe like cigarettes the r/w media should carry a health warning: these papers can kill.

Public control and public ownership are not the same thing! Water in England is already in public control. That's why we need PUBLIC OWNERSHIP.

Burnham is promising "greater public control over key utilities including water, energy and transport" The problem is water and energy are *already* in public control - and regulation has failed for 40 years👇 He must deliver PUBLIC OWNERSHIP to stop the privatisation rip off

Me thinks in the next year as the impact of the war starts to bite deeper, we are all gonna find out about the perils of shifting almost everything to a ‘just in time’ basis over the last 40 years.

The US elite can kidnap a foreign president & assassinate Iranian leaders but they cant arrest anyone anywhere for being part of Epstein’s child trafficking & abuse networks.

According to the right & far right in the UK, the BBC is run by lefties. But at the UK version of the Oscars last night, it allowed the racist term n@@@@r to be aired & not edited out but it did edit out a Free Palestine comment by one of the winners. Go figure.

Sighs that some fall for liberal hypocrisy of Carney who calls ideology out while reproducing it. admits the “rules-based order” was selective & hegemonic, then rebrands same imperial political economy as values-based realism. It’s not honesty; it’s a software update for the same operating system.

As Trumps polling and support keeps falling, as the MAGA movement starts infighting, and as the Epstein files keep unravelling, he creates distraction by illegally attacking Venezuela.

Murdering, corrupt British state. 1. British soldiers let off with murder of 14 Irish civilians at Bloody Sunday. 2. Two weeks ago Johnson & his Tory cronies let off with the needless death of 20,000 during covid. 3. Today the police whose actions led to the deaths our mates, get let off.

Holy shit. So Elon decides it would be nice to know what region of the world people are posting from. So they add that little feature. 2 hours later they figure out that many Trump supporters with millions of followers are posting from other countries. Surprise! That "feature" is now gone.

Let’s hope a class action for social murder is taken out against Johnson & others. It’s a concept used to describe an unnatural death that is believed to occur due to social, political, or economic oppression, instead of direct violence.
