This is from Meta comms. But this is unacceptable. #NoKings signaled today was a day of action. There was every reason to understand why there would be high volume. More action and voting is coming going into the midterms. We need proof this will not happen again.

Meta took down the No Kings organizing page today - the biggest day of protest this fall. They provided zero explanation. It stayed down for the entire afternoon until most of the protests were done. Outrageous. Put this on the January investigation list.

Apparently at around 1:30 PM ET, the main accounts for the No Kings coalition on Instagram were frozen and pulled down. Admins have lost access to the account and are unable to log in. This happened at the peak of the organization's national day of action. Instagram, of course, is owned by Meta.
