I know absolutely nothing about Lula except that i saw someone share a clip on insta of him in celebration kissing a trans woman politician on the cheek and oh my god is that a radical act for a politician in 2026 so lets fucking go

lol this guy got 59 million votes. I’m pretty sure he’s just going to run again, and win, after this Lula term. There’s a lot of road to travel to root fascism out of Brazil …

Petronationalism as an answer to US threats is surreal given that the US is dominated by petronationalists. You know what reduces your dependence on the US? The fucking sun. Renewables would make Canada actually independent. The worsening climate crisis will make the US threat look like a joke.

Want to emphasize this point. One of the big "efficiencies" users of LLMs get is generating communications and other artifacts quickly, but with no thought or quality, pushing all the effort of interpreting the slop onto others. This is the same efficiency as a chemical plant dumping in a river.

the constant grind of semiotic violence from AI is so fucking exhausting man. read some text that doesn't say anything. look at some images that don't mean anything. here's some code I didn't write and quite possibly haven't run, presented as if it's a solution to a problem

I don’t talk about it a lot but my extended family in the UK kicked me out of my dear uncle’s life in the last couple of years, with horrifying transphobic language, and nobody stood up for me. Terf island destroys families. Now he’s in a home.

The NHS was already segregated, but this is a whole other level of cruelty. There's a reason why the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention has put out a red flag warning after TERF Island interpreted the Equality Act to explicitly exclude trans people.

At the time, I was living with him and caring for him after a stroke. He was improving and getting stronger. They wanted me away from him, they did not have as much love for him as me and my family do, they wanted him in a home, away from me and our care. They got their wish.

Before 2023ish, they literally had never met me and did not give a fuck about me, didn’t know either of my names. After 2023, they were dead set on keeping me away from my uncle, misnaming me, misgendering me, and telling him to distrust me.

It’s an unpalatable truth, but Meta, TikTok, and hopefully it goes without saying, X, aren’t sustainable to rely on for political amplification, cultural promotion/marketing or community organizing. It’s long past time for new platforms/means and to move on.
