Watching Michelle and Barack Obama give their eloquent speeches yesterday gave me hope that we may see this grace and intelligence again in our nation’s leadership.
This #NationalMascotDay, we’re celebrating Ralphie, CU Boulder’s legendary live buffalo mascot, and Chip, our beloved character mascot. Here’s to the mascots who make every campus moment a little louder and prouder. Sko Buffs!
Inflation is growing worse, and the president is fixated on all the wrong things - building a ballroom, making himself immune from audits, and waging a war he started without a plan to end it.
Where is the Republican plan to make life more affordable in America?
You can't lower gas prices by blurting out the names of a few Democrats. The administration needs to stop its crazed policies that cause so much economic pain.
This happened on Trump's watch because he doubled fuel prices by taking our country to war, which drove Spirit out of business. Obviously.
Sean Duffy on Spirit: "To be really clear, yeah, jet fuel prices have gone up. This story was not written because of the Iran war. This story was written because of Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg ... "
(Spirit says it was because of fuel prices)
We now know the Iran war price tag is more like $50 billion - hundreds of dollars per household - and counting.
It's enough to cover all the health insurance premium credits that the Republicans got rid of for this year, and next. It could save rural hospitals, pay teachers, fix roads.
In tonight's speech, the president did what he does best: celebrate himself. But if anyone was looking for leadership focused on easing their current economic pain, he made clear that they'll need to look elsewhere.
I just want to live in a country where the leader can’t enrich themselves with our tax dollars, the government does what the people want, and the wealthy have to follow the laws.
You know, like a democracy.
Less than 48 hours after the deadly attack at Sydney's Bondi Beach that left more than a dozen dead, Australian authorities announced proposals for sweeping new gun laws. n.pr/48UTa7g
Today we learned that in June the US economy lost jobs for the first time since 2020. We haven’t seen this kind of net job loss since - well, since the last time Trump was in charge.
It’s not really necessary to mock Kristi Noem since South Park has already done such a good job of it, but here’s the actual anti-drug slogan she approved when she was Governor of South Dakota
The President sees a bad jobs report, and responds by getting rid of the person in charge of the statistics. This is how America becomes a third-rate country.
Today's jobs report shows 24,000 factory jobs lost in the past three months.
Trump’s first term brought a manufacturing recession. Now his reckless tariffs are making Americans worse off, again.
On Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom and recommit ourselves to the work that remains undone. We remember that even in the darkest hours, there is cause to hope for tomorrow’s light.
The Trump and Elon breakup would be pretty funny to watch if I didn't know how much is on the line here: 10 million people could lose Medicaid and 2 million kids could lose food assistance.
Don't let this drama distract you from what matters.
🚨 URGENT RESPONSE CALL 🚨
Trump’s Fool’s Gold Science EO is a dangerous sham.
It gives his appointees the power to dismiss entire bodies of research and punish researchers who fail to fall in line with his agenda.

America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

But instead of scaling it up, funding cuts are putting progress like this at risk.

"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Just to be clear, this is a violation of the fundamental ethical principle in clinical trial design called "equipoise."
Equipoise means that no-one is exposed to excess risk just to test the therapy. That's specifically *why* vaccine trials don't use placebo arms.
Ethical violation as POLICY.
There is no aborted fetus debris in the MMR vaccine, or in any vaccine at all.
It is worth noting that the Catholic Church, one of the most staunch anti-abortion organizations in the world, has a formal policy that encourages all vaccinations.
