Or the dozens of times he violated his parole agreements. But yes he should have been arrested the second he stepped off the plane in Florida. If I hear any Democrats trying to "Turn the page" I will actively campaign against them.

The President of the United States has clearly and transparently broken many, many laws before, during & since both his Presidencies. Yet somehow we are powerless to either stop him from continuing to break laws or hold him accountable for those he has already broken. What has happened to America?

LJS reposted

It cannot be said any more clearly. Trump should have been arrested on January 20, 2021, and held without bail. Trump should be arrested now, or at least on January 20, 2029, if a Democrat wins. Let the justice system go to work. And if SCOTUS frees him, send him to prison in New York.

Bold move for Republicans to remind everyone just before the election. But I'm sure Trump will have a very calm and rational, "reasonable people can disagree" reaction.

This. It has always been this. A sitting American president did this. And because he did this, he should have been convicted and put behind bars. And the fact that we never held him accountable for these crimes will forever stain this country. And we may never recover from it.👇

"I stand by my decisions as Special Counsel, including my decision to bring charges against President Trump." Jack Smith delivers his opening statement as he testifies to the Senate about his investigation into Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election.

Jack Smith should be AG under the next Democratic administration.

Republican Senator Kennedy cuts Jack Smith Off as he starts telling him why he wanted to prosecute Trump: Smith: “I wanted to prosecute our case. That’s absolutely true, because I felt that we had proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Donald Trump committed incredibly serious crimes.”

Sen. John Kennedy made an ass of himself at the Jack Smith hearing. He asked Smith if he believed in the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. He asked Smith about the disappearance of union boss Jimmy Hoffa in 1975. Smith remained polite while this asshat performed his reprehensible routine.

Jack Smith's wife, Katy Chevigny, is a documentary filmmaker and producer. She's neither currently nor has she ever been a federal or state employee. She's produced or directed more than 30 documentary films and won a number of awards for her work. Kennedy is grossly abusing his position and power.

OMG: Republican Senator Schmitt accused Jack Smith of being in ATL to conspire with Fani Willis b/c he got a text from JP Cooney about a “Hawks” game (Falcons?). Schmitt had a big visual aid but didn’t keep it up long. BUT smith was at an IOWA HAWKEYES game to see Caitlin Clark in Maryland HAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. HAHAHAHAHAH. Eric Schmitt just accused Jack Smith of lying about going to an Atlanta Hawk's basketball game. Smith went to see the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Jack Smith looked straight at the Senate and said what Trump’s enablers have spent years trying to bury: There was proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump committed crimes against this country. Smith said he’d prosecute him again today. Because the evidence doesn’t give a damn about your red hat

Klobuchar has Schmitt dead to rights: "The game in fact was in Maryland. For a senator to have false information & imply, based on confusion about name of a team, that you were in another city & somehow involved that day in what was happening in Georgia & call you a 'dirtbag' deserves an apology"

holy shit -- turns out Jack Smith went to a Hawkeyes game in Maryland but Schmitt's team is so reckless they concocted a conspiracy theory that Smith was actually in Atlanta seeing a Hawks game and colluding with Fani Willis. Klobuchar points out to Schmitt, "you have your teams wrong."

LJS reposted

extremely weird shit during the Jack Smith hearing -- Sen. Eric Schmitt's team briefly displays a poster board that Schmitt claims contains evidence Smith committed perjury, but then Schmitt's team takes it down before anybody can read it and refuses to show Smith what it says

Jack Smith: Donald Trump preyed on party loyalty and fear. One of the reasons he [failed] is bc Republicans stood up. I personally find it hard to understand how our investigation could be viewed as partisan when our strongest witnesses were Republicans. [Names Rusty Bowers and Mike Pence.]

They did a good job but were blocked by a crooked judge, Judge Cannon, who should be removed and disbarred.
