Voting is a very important part of the effort to build the city we want, but it's just one part of that effort. In essence, what we're waiting to find out is whether our city has chosen to make it easier or harder to do that work together. #topoli
Just deleted my FB account. (For the past few years had only been using it for some professional groups.)
They asked why I was leaving.
Unfortunately and inexplicably, "Zuckerberg is a fascist" wasn't on the list.
Brazil’s results tonight are a big endorsement for the idea that every country should have a second “are you you sure about that” election a couple weeks after the first one for the important stuff
Gary Mason on election interference: "There's one set of rules for them, and another set of rules for everybody else. And people are fed up with it. The rest of the world is fed up with it. And that's why the U.S. has become a pariah country. People don't like them. Canadians don't like them."

“If every cyclist did this, Toronto would be closed for business. And Doug Ford might realise bike lanes were not just for the safety of cyclists, but for the convenience of motorists”
Driving *shouldn’t* be the most convenient method of travel in a city. It should be a method of necessity. And we absolutely shouldn’t prioritize car convenience over people’s safety, their lives.
There isn’t a War On Cars, but there should be.
Cars have been a cancer on cities for a century now.
Keep an eye on your internet-connected ovens and lawnmowers.
"Anthropic has warned that rogue “AI worms” will soon be able to hijack smart home devices such as ovens and TVs, creating a new cyber security threat that will be difficult to contain."
New working paper: the Norwegian wealth tax was a huge success. The "exodus" of wealthy people never happened (less than 100 individuals left). Tax revenue increased by 71.5%. No changes in business activity or investment.
