Rockstar devs in the UK are set for a very strange November. Check this timeline: 12th Nov: The ballot opens for employees to vote on union recognition. 17th/18th Nov: The final two days of an employment tribunal over union busting. 19th Nov: GTA VI releases! 26th Nov: Union recognition results.

I appreciate the bar is quite low but this excerpt from an interview with Molyneux about AI is almost too on the nose. Nice anecdote about a colleague he used to respect and enjoy working with, followed by an explanation of how him and everyone like him is now expendable.

NEW: Remedy's latest game, Control Resonant, is filled with art galleries. The galleries are filled with real art When I began talking to Remedy about it, I was delighted to discover who the artists are: many are the game developers' parents My story... www.gamefile.news/p/control-re...

gamefile.newsWho made the art inside Control Resonant? When the developers of Control Resonant needed to fill their video game version of New York City with art galleries, they tapped the talents of people they knew particularly well

"What was your biggest impact on the internet ?" Easily this serie of mario style maps. I had a couple little articles written about it, i did an interview or two, it was fun while it lasted. Helped me financially in a time of need, too !

"what was your biggest impact on the internet?" Not to brag, but I'm responsible for coining a somewhat obscure phrase used by comic fans to describe a specific phenomenon that happens on occasion

the use of "wait" here is legit so slimy. tf you mean wait. devs don't wait, they make the fuckin thing. ooooohhh but if you're a dipshit billionaire exec like tim sweeney is now, i guess you do just WAIT for it, huh?

‘Wicker’ stars Alexander Skarsgård as a man made entirely of wicker, complete with a rock-hard wicker dick. But what about splinters? Bacteria? Degradation? Would it be advisable, from a sexual-health perspective, to mount a basket dick? We asked a gynecologist: vulture.visitlink.me/DNQwX5

Obsessed with this post from a Japanese guy that's in LA for the (canceled) Uma live. Took his ticket refund and spent it on a Ford F-150 rental so he could rip through the California deserts. We're not so different. Foreigners come to Japan to rent Nissan GT-Rs to rip through the mountain passes.

ok but this is actually an appropriate way to honor Bacchus and i think the ancients would have agreed

Casey Hudson, Drew Karpyshyn and Mac Walters? Gone. The people who wrote Kaidan, Ashley, Tali, Liara, Garrus, Grunt, Jack, Jacob, Kasumi, Legion, Miranda, Mordin, Samara, Thane, Zaeed, Wrex, James Vega, Javik, and EDI. Gone. They're all gone. Some for years, others a decade. Mass Effect been dead.

genuinely insulting how studies and surveys routinely find how paying for basic human needs has no downsides for both governments and businesses and both routinely plunge their heads in the sand as it rots around them

Employers might be overestimating the downsides of offering paid parental leave and underestimating the costs of losing employees by foregoing it, argues economist Emily Oster in a new report. Read more from David Lim: www.semafor.com/article/10/2...

For anyone getting caught up on the TLS and PHP issues this morning and wondering how bad it is; Pokémon has pulled down all their services for emergency maintenance with no estimated end time. Champions, Home, all of it. They put Pokémon Sleep offline, dawg. Panic. Sell everything. It's over.
