In other "why I quit my job" news, was just told to close a PR I worked on for 1d4h because "the workload is too high so we can't do this feature". When I asked if I should keep the code I was told that since the entire codebase was being changed "soon", I should trash it.

Bro I'm literally just sitting here. Yes we have done stuff "as usual", meaning with not enough planning and way too much time pressure; I can't help but feel with been sitting here kept busy with fake work while waiting for our replacement to go live.

I knew from the very first month at the company to not become attached to my code and this feature isn't something I was particularly fond of either but it does just feel bad how underappreciated the work is the non-restructure team has been doing for the past year.
