The decisions and actions taken by the White House, for Russia and against Ukraine and others, constitute a vast and systematic pattern, clearly intended to help the Russian war effort, undermine Ukraine's fight for national survival, and harm other democracies that stand in Moscow's way.

The Lindsey Graham Act would have imposed significant new sanctions on Russia from 18 October, but allowed the President to issue waivers. He just did. To avoid screaming, I went through every provision explaining them and indicating which he waived. Spoiler: All the ones that did anything.

Excellent, but very sad and infuriating thread. It shows the utter cowardice of the other branches of the gov’t to not use their powers reign the other branch in. bsky.app/profile/citi...

Things your unhoused neighbors can use this summer, aside from the obvious: - candy (I get asks for this more than almost anything) - sunscreen (high SPF pls!) - lip balm (bonus for SPF) - electrolyte packets for water - cash - gift cards for fast food and/or accessible grocery stores 1/

I need to do this. I can’t stand the thought of turning on the spigot of partisan mailers, but living in a deep red state as a non-party affiliated voter is an exercise in futility.

Society is stronger when more people cast meaningful votes in our elections. This year in Colorado, the most meaningful votes will be cast in the Democratic primary. So that’s what I’ll do, for the first time in my life. A commentary:

what you clearly see, CLEARLY, is a driver who is spooked by the agents grabbing her door, takes steps to drive away, and is immediately shot as moves her vehicle *away* from the agents.

FOX: Pritzker has asked you specifically to pause immigration enforcement operations in Chicago so kids can safety celebrate Halloween. Do you have any plans to alter activity tomorrow? NOEM: No. We're gonna be out on the streets in full force and increase our activities to make sure kids are safe.

See the issue is that Trump ran on releasing on the Epstein files, and Bondi said she had them sitting on her desk ready to go, and then Elon Musk tweeted that Trump was in them and they were suddenly deemed a hoax and Ghislaine was moved to a spa prison, so you can understand the fresh intrigue

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Mike Johnson: "Suddenly now, they've somehow convinced themselves that the Epstein files will be damaging to President Trump and Republicans in some way that they've imagined, and so they feign outrage."

It really is staggering to see so many people willing to abandon our 249 year experiment in democracy for an increasingly unstable criminally convicted reality show charlatan.

IDK. Hear me out. It’s as if someone did something to turn international trading on its head, and now there’s a problem that will cost American taxpayers.

Joni Ernst: "Unfortunately, our farmers do need that assistance. They don't like it. They consider it welfare. They want trade, not aid. So we really need to see some of these new markets opening up around the globe ... but if there's anybody that can make a deal, it's President Trump."

Instead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human? On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence.

One of the most remarkable things of the last 9 months is how many Americans seem to believe the President is all powerful and Congress has no say. Actually Congress has been ineffective by choice. It has immense power if it had the courage to use it.

Experts estimate the rebranding of DoD will cost billions. This is in addition to renaming bases. We're basically applying an expensive Instagram filter to the DoD after we slashed budgets. The Rose Garden Club looks fancy, but it's not going to upgrade the barracks or take care of the veterans.

The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

yep.

Ashli Babbitt was a grown ass adult who chose to break into an unauthorized area during an insurrection against the repeated warnings of law enforcement. She ignored those warnings and got killed through no one's fault but her own. She was a traitor. She doesn't deserve full military honors.

Trump has purchased at least $103 million worth of corporate and municipal bonds since he took office again, according to new filings from the Office of Government Ethics.   Trump made about 690 purchases from Jan. 21 through Aug. 1.   The active trading by a president of the U.S. is unprecedented.

I’m still waiting for a Republican business owner or farmer to get arrested for illegally employing migrant workers. When are we going to get perp walk videos of them being hauled off to vans in cuffs by masked agents?

In the D.C. metropolitan area there’s a critical shortage of KRYLON Gold Leaf metallic paint. Riots at local Hobby Lobbys are breaking out as crafters are looting the spray paint aisles. National Guard troops have been deployed from Ohio, South Carolina, and West Virginia to restore order.

This is what a rigged economy looks like: In the 1970s, CEOs made 27 times more than the average worker. In the 1980s, CEOs made 48 times more than the average worker. This decade, CEOs are making 354 times more than the average worker. That has got to change.
