I asked my youngest nephew - who still lives in the hometown I left long ago - to send me some stones from the old churchyard I walked through each week as a child, on the way to my dear grandad's house. The stones feel so potent with memory and loss, I am afraid to hold them for fear of heartache.

It's my birthday - I am 65! How did this happen? 🙃 Some nice moments today, and heartwarming cards and pressies from family who live far away. I feel very loved.

I'm not going to post about politics etc any more. I've been so poorly this past year; & realised that closely following the news was keeping me ill & depleted. So I decided to focus on making the world a better place, with all the skills & love that I have. And guess what? Healing is happening...

With all my paintings, I have no clue what will appear. I don't know 'how' to paint, you see. I have no learned skills or techniques at all cos they make me afraid of 'getting it wrong'. So I have to create in the moment, trusting impulses & my sense of colour & form. Gotta say, it's never boring!

Most people don't really get the scale of the damage our species has wreaked on the natural world. Which is why I'm planning a very BIG exhibition about humanity's relationship to our Earth. I want to tell a story that's simple and relatable, touching and powerful. And accessible to non academics.
