I love the little tiny text saying 'Shark' before the 'JAWS' title, presumably in an attempt to avoid a lawsuit from the movie people.

eBay users! Don't ignore today's email, even though it looks like a boring standard update to the User Privacy Notice. They want to use your data to train AI models. If you click the link over the words "the right to object", it takes you to a page with a toggle button letting you opt out.

“Manchester City proving their point today on the pitch” The point being that cheating gives you a massive advantage.

Maybe Tories just assume that everyone sides with the mean-spirited next door neighbour?

Kemi Badenoch labels Andy Burnham a 'Paddington Bear Prime Minister'. What is that even supposed to mean?

I saw a preview of Jabberwocky in the cinema when I would’ve been about 6 and it completely traumatised me. I always thought it was very soft of me to be scared by what was effectively a Monty Python movie, but re-watching this makes me realise that it was quite graphic m.youtube.com/watch?v=mKDx...

In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child?

When I got back home, still completely pale and shaken, mum had a go at dad for taking me to see such an unsuitable film. In his defence though, I’m sure he was expecting it to be a light-hearted fairy tale thing with bits of comedy.

Something AI is responsible for that doesn't get enough talk: How, when it scrapes a website to illegally steal everything on it, it uses up a ton of its bandwidth allotment, crashing it or racking up massive fees for site owners.

Yet again, the Game UI Database is being scraped to the point that it's getting knocked offline. Even Cloudflare's "I'm under attack" mode isn't working. I just wanted to create a resource for real designers. I'm getting so fucking sick of this.

The White House accord on AI that was signed by all the big tech oligarchs today misspells United States as “Unites States.”

Justin Hendrix@justinhendrix.bsky.social

United States President Donald Trump issues executive order instructing federal government agencies to "use the terms 'Super Intelligence' and 'SI' in place of 'Artificial Intelligence' and 'AI' and will not acknowledge the usage of 'Artificial Intelligence' and 'AI' in any applicable setting."

Oh, I don’t know the full context here, but this is a fantastic and satisfying watch.

A phenomenal moment in the Senate. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta. Smith denies it. Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury. Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland. WATCH IN FULL, UNINTERRUPTED

Imagine being scared of Fabians, of all people. It’s like campaigning to get labradors added to the dangerous dogs list.
