me: shall i prepare for end of life? doctor: you’re perfectly healthy me: i just want to be comfortable doctor: you’re not dying me: more morphine please

Democrats allowed Donald Trump to keep himself out of prison, run again, and get elected again, despite mountains of unethical, corrupt, and even illegal behavior. You’re not with us at all. Not even a little.

I won’t share RFK Jr.’s lies about autism. It’s disgusting and dangerous. If he had a shred of decency, he would apologize and resign. Autistic people contribute every day to our nation’s greatness. To every kid with autism, I’m in this fight all the way for you.

100%. And it can definitely be argued that 9/11 was what began American authoritarianism. It was that singular event that led to so much power being granted to the Executive Branch by Congress.

there is no fact-based evaluation that does not hold George W. Bush and Barack Obama partly responsible for where we are with Trump. For decades we let these guys extend the power of the executive and no one with power ever pushed back. We are reaping those consequences now.

Then reform the fraud and abuse. There’s a lot of fraud and abuse in the banking system too. How do we address that? We certainly don’t abolish it. Bottom line: If you’re rich and capitalist you get the benefit of the doubt. If you’re poor, we slash your shit.

REPORTER: Can you say unequivocally that down the line, there won't be cuts to Medicaid programs? MIKE JOHNSON: Medicaid is hugely problematic because it has a lot of fraud, waste, and abuse.

The media approaching the WH as hostile could backfire though. It would lead to more of them being ousted, giving the WH more potential to spread outright propaganda. Would also confirm for Trump supporters that the left is β€œout to get him.”

Just an amazing lack on introspection. You don't reach this point without years of acquiescence. And even now, there are no plans to approach the administration as hostile.

We are seeing the results of sensationalism and misinformation play out in real time and legacy media still can’t stop feeding it. American Capitalism has no values other than making money.

The headline that 21 DOGE staffers have resigned is a little misleading. These were employees of the United States Digital Service, which existed pre-administration and was absorbed into Musk’s team. These aren’t the young idiots; these are actual civil servants.

Then with all due respect, there’s other ways we need to attack this problem, right? I am progressive as hell but that means ALL people get an equal opportunity. Filling quotas has never felt like a great solution to that problem. I agree 100% in continuing to reform things in a more effective way.

At a certain point they should perhaps be more concerned about the collapse of their own country or maybe being jailed for treason down the road. Right?

Let's not beat around the bush. Many men, both in our government and in the general population, do secretly seem to support much of what's going on. They have gone hard right in response to identity politics. It's not about standing up to Trump, I think many of them also want to see retribution.

Once again we find a woman standing up bravely to Trump when men crumble.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: an administration (and its supporters) who believe that they are not limited by the rule of law have no moral or philosophical claim to the protection of the rule of law. β€œThe law is whatever we say it is” warrants the same in response.

pulled my back so bad that I told my family I might need a wheelchair like Professor X, and my son said β€œyeah more like Professor XXL” and goddammit I don’t deserve this abuse
