The Labour government has a problem. Most British people see Trump for what he is. Most British people are also now drawn towards, not against Europe. China, Russia and now the US are (effectively) each in the hands a dictator. The EU is the odd global (nuclear) power that isn't. I'm fairly sure that the reason Trump and US billionaires supported Brexit was to weaken the EU, for that very reason. The UK was expected to become a US vassal state.
