Walter Koenig (RIP)'s Bester was one of the great villains of #scifi. In #BabylonFive, he brought nuance and depth to a character that could have been a one-note fascist. Bester can explain in both his goals and reasoning. It makes a logical sense what he does his actions even if they're abhorrent.

They're real, and you must hunt them down: high-school beasties a la Buffy the Vampire Slayer, unnatural creatures like those in Supernatural, and aliens and occult menaces out of The X-Files. In each episodic game session, your team of hunters – the Chosen, the Professionals, Spell-Slingers, Action Scientists, Celebrities, Curse-Eaters, and any of two dozen more archetypes – might tackle Bigfoot, collar a chupacabra, save the Mole King's Brides, or drive away demons. And next week, you'll do it again.

They Came From ...! is one of the biggest direct influences on Shadows Over Ravenkirk. If you enjoy TTRPGs and my Gothic horror nonsense, you should check this game out!
