funny how the drivers are almost always charged, yet the police say crashes can be prevented with eye contact. It's not like passing pedestrians, where people are in front of you, movement is slower and eye contact is possible

What the heck is happening on Ottawa's roads?!🚨 4 fatalities of vulnerable road users in 6 days. A driver rams into a bakery. 4 collisions involving serious injuries yesterday. And today, another pedestrian killed in Barrhaven. Am I the only candidate in this election talking about this? 1/

Make sure you repeat the "make eye contact, slow down, wear hi vis" combo Do not mention enforcement, fines, potential to lose drivers license, duty of care when driving dangerous vehicle, etc

Police have a duty to direct their enforcement message to the persons breaking the law, and consequently who has caused the harm to the victims and why. This is gobbledygook with no relation to enforcement at all, only culture
