I created this photo using recent research so it relaxes your brain when you pause to look at the details. As I'm sometimes too unwell to post here (not good mental health due to PMDD & recovering from a breakdownA) it would help so much if you could maybe RT my photo. Many thanks 🌿

Talking about the Bayeaux Tapestry, the British Museum has prepared a website where you can explore the whole embroidery (it is not really a tapestry) in high resolution. It even includes annotations so you can understand what each character and event is! www.britishmuseum.org/bayeux-tapes...

britishmuseum.orgThe Bayeux Tapestry online experienceFollow the story and discover the people, places and events of 1066 and the Battle of Hastings. Made for young learners, open to all.

A Russian satellite made an extraordinarily close approach to a Western commercial spacecraft that provides imagery to Ukraine. A retired Russian colonel portrayed the maneuver as a warning to companies aiding Kyiv, including Starlink. meduza.io/en/feature/2...

I got a very silly lens today. This is a Leitz Wetzlar Colorplan, a film projector lens, mated to a normal camera lens exoskeleton. Minimum focus is 30cm, maximum is about 2 meters, but god is that picture gorgeous. Nice FOV, gorgeous depth of field, I cannot wait to use this weird little freak.

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

This is incredibly important - mass protests are good and necessary but very few take the logical next steps needed to affect real change - we need to learn to channel our rage into organising, so we are strong and united enough to enforce our demands

The Way of Light teaches that non-holy magic is a vile inheritance of the Dragons slain ages ago. Its followers wear ever-burning monster-tallow candles that sputter near magic or monsters. Their beliefs are factually correct, but their methods of enforcing them verge on heresy.

Britain would never steal art from across the world at great harm to the people they robbed and claim ownership of it for the crown. What a ridiculous concept.

An unreleased Bandai robot that transforms into a Pyramid. Perhaps this was intended for Machine Robo? Invented by the great Katsushi Murakami and filed 1987-06-16. Eight years later, Pyramadis/King Pyramidder was released with a different design but similar idea. JPS63311983A
