(PINNED POST) Hi, Mr. Bad here. It's almost the new year and one of my resolutions is to start taking my creativity more seriously. I've always wanted to share my passion for animation and my special interests with the world, but I could never find the motivation. That changes today.

In 2016, we published potentially the largest single feature to ever appear in Game Informer magazine with a full oral history of the legendary studio, BioWare. We've made that feature available online following reports of the studio's impending closure. gameinformer.com/feature/2026...

Mr. Bad's hot take of the day: Abolish all forms of private insurance. Nationalize all of it. Im talkin health, auto, home/rental, life insurance, ALL OF IT. For-profit insurnace is the biggest scam of all time. It should be under public control.

Apparently at around 1:30 PM ET, the main accounts for the No Kings coalition on Instagram were frozen and pulled down. Admins have lost access to the account and are unable to log in. This happened at the peak of the organization's national day of action. Instagram, of course, is owned by Meta.

Seems relevant to that flood of journalists who in the last few weeks announced publicly that it was okay to return to X, that the platform had gotten better, and the worst aspects of it had been minimized. This is what you have endorsed.

On X, users have circulated nonconsenual AI videos created by Grok of a woman they think is Jane Doe. They continue to spread her name. People have praised X for staying relevant for AI and tech conversation. But it also is the main vector for a doxing. That is X. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/16/n...

Ultra-wealthy donors are spending a staggering $430 million to fight state efforts to raise their taxes. If they can afford to drop millions of dollars to keep their taxes low, they can afford to pay slightly higher taxes. Theyโ€™re making the case for taxing the rich better than anyone else could.

holy fuck i already hate youtube but whenever i actually need to watch something to learn how to make something it's like HEY BITCH ARE YOU EXPERIENCING INTERRUPTIONS and i'm like yeah man i am and then it laughs and spits in my face and farts on me

Perhaps somebody smarter than me can explain this to me. Why charge so much for a digital streaming service? You're not producing a physical product. You're providing access to digital media stored on servers you own. Shouldnt you want as many people to subscribe as possible?

Like why charge 15 dollars a month and still show people ads? Genuinely what is the point? Why not offer "free with ads" and then an ad free subscription option for like, 5 bucks a month? Normally with physical goods this would cause problems

But this is a digital service. I feel like you should want as many people to subscribe as possible, so you should make it as accessible as possible. I know the answer to this is probably just corporate greed but I just find it so short-sighted and stupid. Idk am I totally off base here?

Latest WSJ poll: "63% want to pause AI development 61% want a billionaire wealth tax 59% want Medicare for All 57% want a $20 minimum wage 58% want to end U.S. military aid to Israel" This is the center of the country politically. it is time all adjust to this political spectrum, esp. media.

I dont know which senator is a bigger embarrassment t9 my state, this goofball or Hawley's coward ass

๐Ÿคก Schmitt beclowns himself ๐Ÿคก Schmitt concocted an elaborate conspiracy theory that Smith traveled to Atl for a Hawks game and to collude with Fani Willis, & flashed his "evidence" before accusing Smith of perjury. There's just one problem -- his facts were totally wrong. Here's the whole sequence:

Every time I go back and play Crash Twinsanity its a bittersweet experience, I see the potential the game had, and I'm disappointed that it was rushed and a ton of content had to be cut. In a better world, it could have easily been the best Crash game of the post-Naughty Dog era

AI has lost the Mandate of Heaven Iโ€™m afraid. WSJ saying itโ€™s a โ€œwhenโ€ the ai bubble bursts. SNL dabbing on their biggest names for being weird. FT says 50% of chips sold in 2026 and 2027 have nowhere to go. Hundreds of billions short on revenue for even 10% ROIC. A disaster.

When I wrote "we often rely on extraction efforts happening in other countries which may or may not be friendly" in my renewable energy video, Canada was not on my mind. But please, Canada - get nasty and fuck us up. You have every right to not be friendly, and we're counting on it.

People canโ€™t just say this for literally years now and have the products it creates only positively affect spreadsheet people. Most people have profoundly negative experiences with this product because its utility remains pretty niche but targeted to the capital class.

Pritzker has been told directly how this is a bad law that does real damage to kids, increases surveillance and is likely unconstitutional. He chose to sign it anyway because it'll give him headlines about protecting children and taking on big tech for his presidential run. A huge disappointment

Governor JB Pritzker@govpritzker.illinois.gov

When addictive social media feeds depend on keeping a child's attention at any cost, their well-being takes a back seat. Enough is enough โ€” weโ€™re requiring these companies to make social media safer for the future of Illinois.

Back then, you chose a phone that matched your personality, not just the one with a slightly better camera or faster processor. Modern smartphones are incredibly advanced, but I still miss when buying a phone felt more creative, personal, and full of surprises.
