So, I'm a big fan of artifact commanders but my brain is just stuck on not being sure how I feel here. With replicate I just sort of default to assuming the purpose of the deck is to make infinite mana before anything else. Is it enough to come up with a way to make infinite gingerbrutes?
Magic is unique from what I've seen in tcgs because the cards exist in 3 narrative frameworks. The art, the story itself, and our memories of playing them. Without all of those we get Magic's uncanny valley.
Stoked that the reaction of the Magic community to the new Marvel UB set has been really positive, despite the fact that reactions to the previous Marvel sets were… less enthusiastic. It’s almost like the people prefer world-building and storytelling to a wiki’s worth of disconnected references!
This Is Just to Say

Calm down
AI is awesome
so sweet

maybe i'm old fashion but the coolest thing about video games is being taken to new worlds that i hadn't thought up and experiencing something exciting that the artists behind the game want to show me
Curious how you can help? We ask that you sign our petition for Wizards to voluntarily recognize our union, share it with your communities, and keep an eye on this account for future updates!

This morning, the D&D team and Magic's Studio X informed our leadership of our intent to unionize. We love the games we make and the work we do, and unionizing is how we protect that work.

I've been wondering what's actually up here for a while + you're not going to believe this but the answer is, once again, private equity. www.avclub.com/shout-factor...
Looking through the Aetherdrift cards while trying (and failing) to work on an assignment for one of my classes, and like, I'm sorry, that set was an all-caps BANGER. In retrospect, Aetherdrift was a really ambitious Magic set, especially in it's theme, variety, and art direction
Before they did the full announcement for the Corn Super Drop I had someone tell me that they thought Labyrinth as a property was probably outdated/niche. The choices @mtgsecretlair.com's team made shows they know exactly who the market is for them.
I saw Return of the Jedi at around 4 and there are so many examples from there. I wanted to dress like both Luke and Leia. But, the 1-2 of Leia in the bounty hunter armor after she took her helmet off and Luke's boots...
Does @magic.wizards.com not know how sacred trans rights are to those who make Magic & the community surrounding it?
We can debate the efficacy of advocacy-through-products; But this'd be one of the few IPs that could organically incite an impactful boycott across play, commentary, & production.
"Taking a dip in a piranha pool" is infinitely less vitriolic than people wishing literal "I hope you die" sentiments and it's a completely unrealistic scenario.
I see posts get away with breaking every one of the "for example" bullet points and yet it's only trans folk who get held to standard.
"As LLMs and other forms of AI become increasingly pervasive in our cultures, human-nonhuman collaborations are rapidly becoming the norm rather than the exception"
// no, there is no "collaboration" with a computer program/product.
I think Tommy Tuberville is very dangerous and him going to congress trying to call out specific sexual minorities that should be discriminated against in certain professions is very dangerous
So, as someone who has enjoyed the Sphinx creature type for a while, my one problem with the Ur-Sphinx and Sphinx's Approach is how I keep hearing people say the problem is that all sphinges are really bad.
Putting a drone launching site directly in the landing path for DCA is a stupid, dangerous, and unworkable idea.
Trump clearly expects to lose a lawsuit and therefore wants to set up a pretext to argue that the arch is tied to national security. Which is obviously idiotic.
President Trump said his proposed 250-foot triumphal arch will now be a “top grade” military complex that will house drones, snipers and ammunition “for National Security purposes.”

Mickey's Space Adventure. As weird as it sounds, the first time Mickey died from running out of oxygen did it. I was in Kindergarten, that was shocking.

Remember, if you play this in a Ganax Commander deck, have your impact tremors effect in place before casting. Otherwise you can possibly just draw the game.
The international chess Federation banned trans women from playing women's chess.
CHESS.
It's not about fairness. The fairness argument is intended to radicalize people into more violent forms of transphobia.
That rock skipping, yes tossing stones across a pond or river, is a gender segregated sport, should tell you something about how gendered sports are not about fairness of physical ability, and is instead about the male ego
hey you!
yea you!
you should take some time and read magic's story this weekend is really good
i was gonna say fun and that's maybe not the right word lol
