Hari Kondabolu who made The Problem with Apu documentary has praised the decision to recast Apu in THOH Presents The Revengening. Saying through a email: "I’m hoping this stops all the hate mail in many languages that has been sent my way over the past decade..
Eric Bauza wasn't just a VA for the Looney Tunes he was a fan like us;He spoke & became an ambassador for the Looney Tunes,The closest one to Mel Blanc voicing all LT characters,I'm devestated & heartbroken that he's gone. It really hurts that he left us too soon...Thank You Eric. RIP
I don't know where to begin with a favorite performance, but when this came out I couldn't stop listening to it. I had it on loop in the BG for days while I drew bc the sheer adrenaline pumping joy and mania of his voice was crack. That little cackle he does at the six second mark. I just love it
Eric Bauza also voiced the opening narration.
Despite me rarely being able to catch El Tigre on TV as a kid due to Nickelodeon rarely airing it, I can still recite that narration by heart.

So the main Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit decided to ban any discussion of the game’s transgender character Claire because the mods were tired of dealing with transphobes in the subreddit, reversed course almost immediately after intense backlash, and now it’s a whole clusterfuck of internal mod drama
Eric Bauza was known for elaborate Halloween costumes and ran the charity Saturday Morning Cartoons United with his fiancée that does licensed screenings to raise funds for homeless/unemployed animators. He was set to host a Powerpuff Girls event next month dressed as Mojo Jojo.
‘Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical’ was confirmed to be Eric Bauza’s final project during his lifetime.
Before Bauza’s passing, the film was put back into pre-production after being previously shelved by Warner Bros. Discovery.
After Sony’s Smurfs 2, studios mostly gave up on submitting hybrids for Animated Feature, even if some may qualify.
Examples include Sonic the Hedgehog 3, IF, Space Jam 2, Tom & Jerry 2021, and Sony’s Peter Rabbit films.
Atp, I doubt Amazon will submit Sheep Detectives.
Looney Tunes: Back in Action was eligible for the animation Oscar, and so were other hybrids like the first 3 Alvin films, Smurfs 2, and Stuart Little 2. Marcel the Shell was even nominated.
Coyote vs Acme had many animated characters for most of the runtime, so it’s qualified.
If I had to choose one scene as my favorite Eric Bauza performance, it would be this scene from "Erabbitcator." Eric managed to nail the angry screaming Bugs Bunny in a way no one else had since Mel Blanc.

If you really want these indie projects (animation, games, etc) to strive as legitimate pillars of entertainment, you need to support more than just whatever looks the prettiest. Art comes in all shapes and sizes.
R.I.P Eric Bauza
I remember my first exposure to his voice was Foop on Fairly Oddparents and to think he eventually became the voice of the Looney Tunes cast is really impressive.
Fuck man, he was so young....
I really hate it when people say stuff like this. "The wrong person died", "Death got the wrong person", etc.
Not only is it incredibly cruel to want someone dead (it doesn't matter how bad of a person they are), but it's also insensitive to the late Eric Bauza to weaponize his death like this.
When someone we admire passes away, especially suddenly, I feel it’s best to not weaponize their passing by bringing up someone unrelated. I would rather use my words to honor their legacy and what impact they left.
You know, if Nintendo were the ones who made the game they'd some how find a way to optimize the game to the point that the download would be less then 50gb.
Hear me out. Commander Riker became stranded in Earth's past, changed his name to David Xanatos, used his knowledge of the future to become rich, became corrupted by that wealth, and used that wealth to fund his various interests.
Also Mark Ruffalo, an outspoken critic of the merger who hasn’t even been in a Paramount-distributed film since 2010’s Shutter Island (although he was in the Skydance-produced 2022 Netflix film The Adam Project), now has his HBO series Task under Skydance’s ownership.
If you want some big repercussions from the merger...
...it's both Denis Villenueve and Javier Bardem's names being in a film that is now being released by a combined WB/Paramount.
The former was against the merger and the latter said he could no longer be in films at the studio for speaking out.
I had a dream last night that they made an official Digital Circus stage musical adaptation, and for some reason Caine was played by a lady and this was her costume. It was a SpongeBob musical situation where the costumes moreso represented the characters rather than directly looking like them

Travis Knight says that LAIKA will NEVER use generative AI in their films:
“AI is theft. It’s the ingestion of years and years and years of human creativity and ingenuity, regurgitated back. It has no humanity. It has no spirit.”
