We are an ad hoc group that has formed on an emergency basis to save NASA from devastating cuts which wouldn't just shrink NASA, but would truly alter it. We are members of the public acting with our personal voice, not representing NASA or our employers.

A friend of mine recently said: “People will never know the level of trauma we have from being a fed at this moment in history.” 😢 Check in with your friends and colleagues who are federal workers. Let them know you appreciate them and the work they do. 🫶 Good night 🌙

✨ NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has pierced through thick dust to resolve 16.5 million individual stars in the Cigar Galaxy (M82)! Thanks to Webb's infrared vision, astronomers now have a detailed fossil record of this galaxy's history. 🔭🌌 #NASAWebb #Space 1/4

In a historic first, the James Webb Space Telescope has performed a direct mass measurement of a black hole in the early Universe. Located 13 billion light-years away, this black hole weighs in at a massive 50 million times the mass of the Sun. #JWST #SpaceNews #Astronomy 1/4

NASA recently gave us a first look, and status update on the fully assembled NASA Grace Roman Space Telescope this week, and a preview of the exciting mission ahead. Here’s our post on NASA’s next space telescope for @skyandtelescope.bsky.social - skyandtelescope.org/astronomy-ne...

skyandtelescope.orgThe Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope Is Ready to FlyNASA has announced that the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is under budget and ahead of schedule, set for a September launch.

Thank you @senmarkkelly and others for standing up for NASA! We hope that Congress rejects the PBR, as they did last year, and NASA doesn’t suffer massive cuts and instead receives a raise in budget for further research and exploration. #nasaneedshelp

The famously terse entry for “Earth” in the Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy was wrong in one important way. There’s nothing “unremarkable” about our home.

Trump’s proposed cuts to NASA are an insult to astronauts like the Artemis crew It’s an odd choice from an administration that has pledged to put America first, to be sure. www.ms.now/opinion/arte...

I’ve been trying to figure out why I’ve been obsessed with the Artemis II mission — more obsessed than I usually am with NASA stuff. This explains it! (IG: morganevelyncook)

As excited as we are (and should be) about Artemis II and returning astronauts to deep space, we should not lose sight of how much NASA has accomplished in the last 53 years. Many probes, Hubble, the JWST, COBE, and so on... #NASA #SpaceScience

The Orion capsule with the #Artemis II astronauts is now on its final trajectory for re-entry. Angle and trajectory all good. Hoping the re-entry goes smoothly!

Burn completed! astronauts are on their own now. Good CM raise burn; flight path angle is within limits. Godspeed Artemis

Having a hard time correlating these two social media postings issued hours apart by the White House when it comes to humanity's readiness to expand outward and explore the cosmos. Just sayin' #AdAstra?

The Artemis II mission seems good because it is. People seem excited by it because they are. It looks like a testament to the value of teamwork because it needs many people working together to succeed, and it’s succeeding. One of the best things about this is how straightforward it is. Authentic.

Katie Mack@astrokatie.com

A few have suggested that some aspects of this mission--joy, international teamwork, diversity--are being played up to stick it to the hateful attitude of the administration. But I don't think it's that. I think it's just that those things are essential to and inseparable from a mission like this.

A glance at the White House FY2027 busget shows pay freezes for civilian federal employees. Tormenting us daily isn’t enough? We certainly hope this also applies to Vought, any DOGE bros still rattling around, and the various goons in the special appointments parade. Our response? 🖕🖕

govexec.comTrump’s budget calls for 2027 pay freezeThough the president’s fiscal 2027 budget proposal calls for a 7% pay raise for military service members, it fails to mention civilian federal employee compensation.

NASA isn't why the US doesn't have universal healthcare, or a social safety net. The US doesn't have those things because politicians with the power to provide them choose specifically not to (with varying levels of support from voters). Enthusiasm for human spaceflight doesn't drive that choice.
