"Inflation is very unpopular and the median voter's views on crime and immigration are closer to Trump's than Harris's" is like 90% more accurate than every narrative take out there that focuses on Rogan, trans rights, "the information environment", etc
When you don’t pay consistent attention to a given race it’s easy to see what you want to see — or to see what you want to get mad about — on social media depending on how your feed is keyed.
That's a rough way to lose, but on the other hand being -3 on turnovers, you're 0/1 on 4th down and they're 1/1, hanging in there is pretty good.
Also fine I will fill out a JSN apology form.
Yep, just to add even more color for how bad this is—there are tons of American made vehicles that are basically only exported to Canada because they’re too expensive for most consumers in Mexico and too big for consumers in Europe/Asia. One of endless reasons it was dumb to start this trade war.
"U.S.-built vehicles accounted for 28.4% of new-vehicle sales in Canada during the first half of 2026, down sharply from 35.4% in the first half of 2025 and an average of ~40% in preceding years."
Canadians aren't buying your stuff anymore. 🇨🇦
I think the important part of that line was Saddam Hussein. It's very tinpot dictator to have a ton of gold stuff in the WH, the power move is that you don't need that stuff.
This is maybe the one time I will say look at net price not list price -- college tuition is a funky progressive alternative minimum and wealth tax on ... well, on former techbros who make a midcareer transition to teaching.
Many (not all!) flagships have gotten pricier and more selective.
The soaring costs of public universities is a political decision. When these schools predominantly served white students, they tended to be free (UC, CCNY, etc.) But as the number of students of color has increased, funding for the public universities has decreased.

I think the high tuition/high aid model sends a confusing signal. I'm glad WA passed the Higher Education Act to keep it under control. But with enough information to low income households who value education you *can* raise low income enrollment in your state's flagship.
The UC flagships have the highest in state tuition but there's a lot of aid. They're also world class universities. IDK, it's a tough call for them (and a Michigan and UNC and UVA and a few others)
The standard for a checked swing in modern baseball is just silly, as well as ahistorical. From the great @sammillerbb.bsky.social:

I'm not sure why Obama closed with "Trump is tacky", that's like the most priced in thing. I guess it goes to huge levels of corruption and not caring about your problems.
Without the threat of Total War communism it might piss off the other billionaires even more. But some of the real nasty Musk stuff might dissipate.
