I don’t know how people could say that programming and art are completely different disciplines when both workflows involve going ‘This will never work, I’m a failure’, changing one thing, then thinking you might be the smartest person alive

The tiles on the counter are by far my favourite part of this piece #art

More biro drawings on receipts. I like to save up the end rolls of receipts to draw on instead of having them go to waste. I enjoy the challenge of fitting an image to a small, specific space.

The idea is the least scarce part; the work becomes authored through constraints, revisions, refusals, and repair. Execution is where a concept meets consequences. Which decision in a finished piece usually carries more of its identity than the original pitch?

This feels like a cosmic joke. Does anyone know good of a head rotations reference sheet. Paid is ok!! - no accessories (hat, glasses etc.) - photograph (not a drawing, or 3D model, or ai garbage) - high quality, preferably (this is me bargaining) DOES SUCH A THING EXIST I CANNA FIND ONE

Plein air at the potholes on the right, photo study on the left. They almost line up!

Another snowstorm today, hoping for better weather soon. Here's my typical backpack pleinair kit. I also have a more elaborate setup to use out of my car, and a more minimal one for travel #art #bskyart #pleinair #artist #artstudio #artsupplies #oilpaint #hiking #backpack #toolsofthetrade

Trying out some simple shaders here. It's amazing what some boil lines can do to your doodles! 🍵 #godot #gamedev #indiedev

so i’m still teaching myself to concept art based off… vibes. TWO MORE HACKS!! - abstract watercolor wash —> turn the random shapes into something cool - reimagine a concept from something you love, a character, environment…

soooo.... concept art is just add shapes until pretty thumbnail? ok ok 😮👇 #thumbnails #conceptart #artstudy #ink #scape #sketchbook #landscapes #sketch

it’s so funny when someone doesn’t realize some weird quirk is not a universal experience. This guy thinks you should come back to twitter because you might miss … “iphone product launches”

One thing I always feel I never find enough of in games is bustling, vertiginous fantasy cities. When they do appear they are so often dead or ghoul infested. I would love to play more games that had living cities I could wander.

The young heroine Arkady stands on the edge of a high metallic ruin and the last remnants of the long lost Empire rise to form the shape of an archway leading through the lessons of the past to a new bright future.

I have this weird dream of opening a game store. Where you buy games, physical games. And you can play them there to try them. And maybe some are also made there. There’s a certain romance to that which hasn’t left my brain in a long time.

Feeling rich so I bought all the art supplies at the grocery store 😎

I was going over some of the trends/eras of illustration with my students today and Corporate Memphis created the most conversation. It was compared to a business man in a happy face mask, Arial & pop music. Good in contexts like brightening up a train station, bad in masking the cruelness of tech.
