That said, I have used AI before for programming. Did it make things easier? Yes. Did I enjoy letting a machine think for me? No! Did I delete some posts from the quoted thread? Yes, but only because I need everyone to know instead of only interacting with the top post that I speak from experience.

Like people who use AI for “art” and “music”, AI “programmers“ fully miss the point!! Programming is an art form as well whether you like it or not, and using AI to write code only to boast about how YOU made it is like buying a pizza from Domino’s and boasting about your nonexistent cooking skill.

You can use it, I won’t fault you for it especially since everyone is forcing you to (at an academic gunpoint might I add), but Coding, Art, Music, Writing etc. are ALL forms of art, and a thing that only focuses on the destination instead of the journey will never know the worth of the destination.

Programming may be tiresome and more methodical, it may need more mathematical and logical analysis than reasonable, but to me it will never not be a beautiful experience of self-expression through exposing your thinking process to others, regardless of how many roadblocks I would hit along the way.

I really hope worldwide shipping becomes a thing for Valve hardware (or at least them allowing third-party shipping), because I’d rather pay Valve directly than pay a scalper over half the price for a headset, or $400 for a controller in a retail store. Valve, give us the ability to buy from you!!

Watched Resident Evil ’26: It felt like I was watching an NPC play on the hardest difficulty with no saves; Game rules, gun progression, humor and all. Monster designs seem like a mix of Las Plagas and Junji Ito. Ending felt non-RE but in a very purposeful way. 9.8/10, must-watch if you like RE!

Calling it now, Coco 2 will be about how Cancel Culture negatively affects people both alive n’ dead bc they’re using Ernesto de la Cruz as the villain again (he’s remembered in bad faith, still giving him power and influence even after the first movie) I think that makes the sequel worth existing!

ALSO, It‘d be nice to see how the way one is remembered affects them in the land of the dead, since it was apparent in the first film that the amount of people remembering the deceased dictates their wellbeing. Maybe how they’re remembered dictates the amount of power they have and how they use it?

It can be hard, like, really hard a lot of the time, but it’s possible. And that’s what matters most; pouring your heart into it. Make something YOU would enjoy or find cool, and eventually, people may connect to it. It’s this kind of connection to one’s work that I seek to have for my own works.
