Doing IT by day and a graphic novel by night takes serious stamina, and Trespasser shows where your energy wants to go. 'Not built for this' is often a job mismatch, not a you problem. I have 5 short burnout-to-clarity questions if useful.

Really hard to think of a term more antisemitic and genocidal than Yarvin’s.

Hegseth: "It's worth saying again so the fake news understands it. We are no longer the woke department or the weak department. Simple translation of that -- no fatties no trannies no beardos no weirdos no wimps no radicals. Just warriors."

I've been working on this product for the past year and a half. Excited to see it ship!

Message from our CEO: After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev

A consequence of RLVR is that for simple tasks LLMs will generate fully useless tests that literally assert the code they wrote does what it does. These tests might still help them uncover random bugs, but they're terrible tests.

Got a new google scholar notification, so I go check and find this very cool poem by Wang Jibing 王计兵, the recent Lu Xun prize winner, prefacing a PhD thesis on women migrant workers and the gig economy PhD students in all disciplines: more poems in theses please, we love to see them! ✨💫

Holy shit! Those madmen! They did it!

I also often go to generative writing meetups, which are meetups where you sit and write to a prompt, which is a set of inspirational questions to get you started. Needless to say both of these terms have been somewhat corroded lately

I think my favorite part is how the ripped alien that the POTUS posted has a chain just barely hiding his alien dick like some sort of 60s pinup model

Trump having a normal one today

It’s fortunate that Trump cannot be America’s horniest president because that honor already goes to JFK

I ran an absolutely 100% human, zero AI-involvement at any stage passage of my writing through an "AI detector," curious if it could really tell human from AI work, and it said my own writing was "84% AI written" then asked I wanted to pay to have it "humanized." So there's that to keep in mind.

Arresting opposition activists on trumped up charges to take the fall for a self inflicted failure of the sitting government is classic authoritarian behavior

To be fair, I never did most of those things as a kid with autism. I had to wait until I was an adult with autism to do them.

My hot take is that green bubbles for Android users was one of the most blatant and successful anticompetitive acts of the past 50 years

mtsw@mtsw.bsky.social

my theory? introduction of the iphone reduced fertility but specifically among android users by making all our text messages show up puke green. i beat the odds, but this genuinely reduced the dating prospects of many of my android-wielding brothers and sisters.

Good on Hegseth for finally addressing the dire threat of British Lad tourism

Hegseth at Normandy: "Sadly, today, different European beaches are stormed by different dangerous ideologies. Beaches in Spain and Italy and Greece and Bulgaria. Boats and men arrive. When will European capitals do something about that invasion? Or is it too late? I pray not, and I believe not."

Trump: “I understand Artists are getting ‘the yips’ having to do with their performance on Wednesday, so I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar, DONALD J. TRUMP”

There is a giant distinction between how Dems and Repubs approach gerrymandering. To Dems, it's evil but has to be done in response to other side doing it. To Repubs, it's good when Repubs do it (because it helps them) and evil when Dems do it (because it helps them).

These people hate democracy and they hate America

Breaking news: Alabama and Tennessee, two Republican-controlled states, took steps to redraw their congressional maps as party leaders try to capitalize on the Supreme Court’s decision this week to weaken the Voting Rights Act.

The thing about republicans is that they understand government as being about seizing as many levers of control as possible. They have no principles other than the accretion of power. The only reasonable thing to do is crush them however necessary: beat them at gerrymandering, expand the court

Imho "President Trump is weighing" carries as much weight as "Elon Musk says" in terms of predictive power of future events, they can both weigh or say whatever they want, you're grasping at seeds that haven't even been planted yet never mind their leaves at the bottom of a cup

This unique fantasy book has many twists and turns, while also keeping a sharp character focus. Spiritually, it reminds me most of The Magicians.

A crucial part of Project 2029 has to be performative trials and draconian sentencing for Trump administration officials up and down the organizational ladder. Treat all of them like Timothy McVeigh so that the gravity of their criminality and treason become enduring images in American history.

I think “ai psychosis” is too broad of a term and we need to split it: - anthropomorphic ai psychosis: you think a chatbot is a person or a god - agent mania: code is no longer the bottleneck and you go insane trying to do as much as possible - executive ai psychosis: whatever Jensen Huang has
