North Bay Python

Another #NBPy in the books. We'll be back next year! From the bottom of our hearts: thanks for being the kind of community that speaks truth to power, instills hope, and makes us all better practitioners. All our love 💖 ~ @chrisjrn.fyi @skimbrel.bsky.social @aeracode.org @riley.pub

ok, here's the email with a lot more details about our 10th anniversary year and our triumphant-ish return to downtown petaluma buttondown.com/northbaypyth...

it's so easy to join us

we'll also announce it over here

This, by @bshaurette #nbpy https://www.mechanicalgirl.com/post/here-s-why-you-should-go-to-north-bay-python-next-year/

My #nbpy talk is now live, which many thanks to @aeracode.org and the whole @northbaypython.org team for getting these out so quickly. This was the hardest talk I've ever had to write, and I hope people enjoy it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HrE...

The video is up! If you want to see me talk about genuinely horrifying code, here's the place to do it: youtu.be/kEOgxtiYzpg

I have been waiting eagerly for www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7Ae... to be posted so that I can send people @chrisjrn.fyi’s extremely good talk from @northbaypython.org this weekend. If you make software in a thoughtful way, this is a talk for you. Otherwise – watch it anyway, maybe you’ll be convinced?

I was at North Bay Python this weekend doing a talk in cursed uses of Python's anonymous functions! Super fun -- I'll post the video when it's up 👀

Heading home after a delightful weekend of @northbaypython.org - always lovely to see everyone (we always get a great crowd) as well as the cats, of course.

... and conference talk recordings are now going live! www.youtube.com/playlist?lis... Thanks to the speakers for rapidly reviewing and approving their videos, and shout out to @aeracode.org for doing phenomenal work stepping up to do in-house video recording and production this year. #NBPy

For your viewing pleasure, our time lapse video of the community strike. One frame every 10 seconds. As always, thanks so much to everyone who could stick around and help! It means we as organizers get to go enjoy dinner with all you fabulous people rather than spend many hours on cleanup. #NBPy

Thank you #NBPy for another fantastic year. ❤️ Captioning for this community is truly an honor. @whitecoatcapxg.bsky.social

This was a fantastic event, and I would love to see it next year continue with the current programming direction, with the attendance numbers they had pre-COVID. Consider coming next year? Especially if you're in the Bay Area and can make it a day trip!

I hope you’re all very proud of yourselves! I mean this entirely unironically. Excitedly awaiting the recordings so that I can share the fantastic talks with friends

#NBPy 2026 ran at a loss this year. It's a public service and we'll be back in 2027, but we could use your help closing the budget gap. Donate at nbpy.link/donate
