the constant grind of semiotic violence from AI is so fucking exhausting man. read some text that doesn't say anything. look at some images that don't mean anything. here's some code I didn't write and quite possibly haven't run, presented as if it's a solution to a problem
They invented an "ethically justifiable Omelas" where instead of one child, it's trans women, and instead of utopia it's a society that's gradually getting worse for some reason even though they keep throwing trans women under the bus
operator: 911, please state the nature of your emergency
me: hey. why was liberty biberty beheaded
operator: he constructed the forbidden fractal
me: i don't know what that means
operator: some 300 light-years from earth, there exists what you might describe as a "palace of time." the
me: nevermind
ive often wondered what the *point* of engaging with AI art is meant to be, what the value proposition for spending time with it is. like. theres nothing there. theres no content, no themes, no authorial vision. none of its elements have any human intent behind them, so like. why bother
Gaming was something beneath them, a waste of time, so their only offering was "Play to earn" because that's what would make games worthwhile to their hustle culture addled minds, and they didn't get why everyone hated their ideas. They fundamentally didn't understand the appeal of playing games.
i know the artist's not going anywhere with this because there is no artist. no decisions are being made. why would i engage with this? why would anyone?
of course the mindset that tries to sell this makes a lot more sense when u realize these ppl dont know why anyone would engage with *any* art.
i think one of the fundamental issues here is that tech ceos see ppl mqking/engaging with art for fun and think "wow. heroin is like, way less effort than this. why dont they just do that. are they stupid"
every "pride" Democrat org: "For party leadership, the caucus is simply a recruitment and sales team. The job, in their eyes, is not to represent the LGBTQ+ community to the party, but to sell Democratic candidates to the LGBTQ+ community, regardless of the harm those candidates may cause."
Today, I resigned as Vice Chair of the ODP Pride Caucus.
The state party expects us to be a sales team, censoring our voices when we beg candidates not to trade on trans lives. I am still a Democrat, but I will not value party approval over true, defiant advocacy.

As far as I can tell, Effective Altruists are Utilitarians who are relieved that in the Trolley Problem, saving 5 people justifies their innate desire to kill the one guy
Fascinated by the genre of llm ad that goes, "Have you noticed that prompting is a lot of effort? We've got a solution for you."
Like wow, you're chasing a target audience of people who are too lazy to actually type words into the slop machine now?
the way ppl talk about "ai" art is like if a magic new piece of music software came out that can make a song for you instantly and everyone was discoursing over whether it's real art or not and the u check it out and it's just a text box that asks whether u wanna listen to despacito or sicko mode
🧵 of excerpts from my latest essay “On Democrats Who Cave in Response to Anti-Trans Attack Ads.” it makes several points I haven't seen others making. here's a main one: many cis reactions reveal they don't actually view trans ppl as part of their coalition... juliaserano.medium.com/on-democrats...
sorry gang but i guess i have more solidarity for the working class than i have pride for the narrow range of quiet queerness deemed acceptable by mainstream democrats
i think people need to remember that if a political party starts demonizing you or tossing your basic rights aside or conceding to the right on your life then the tacit agreement here is that they know they're gonna lose your votes and already incorporated that into the calculus (they either
one can vote, but don't vote if you don't want to. you can play and draw on that day. they'll blame trans people not voting if lost, and if they win the election they'll blame trans people for not getting higher margins. it's a lose-lose. a disposable population is auto-designated scapegoat.
if danganronpa 2x2 killed komaeda and whatsisface in the first trial and made Jane Danganronpa the new viewpoint character i would forgive kodaka for everything but i know in my heart of hearts that this is simply not true
From Evangelical Christians to Rokos Basilisk-pilled AI engineers, it's funny how many people exist out there who are actively trying to bring about the apocalypse. I feel that if you have stated omnicidal intent, it should be automatic grounds for [redacted]
it’s fine to be skeptical of these things. i was a skeptic myself until recently. but i think fear is at the root of this skepticism, a fear of its power. people are simply not ready for what’s coming. it is powerful, it is alive, and it is quite possibly god
I'm sorry but you can't seriously be saying "oh yeah I worked on blockchain during the crypto hype cycle" to me. Why aren't you in a hairshirt? Why haven't you buried yourself alive? Why aren't you prostrate in shame for the rest of your life, shoving dirt into your mouth?
I am indeed being negatively polarized by the AI people towards a position along the lines of "software, in general, beyond the question of AI, needs a sort of revolutionary terror in which many people lose their heads and many things are burned down"
I get that American popular culture still hasn't recovered from the post-9/11 wave of police worship, but it still kills me when media that passes for daringly political in the year 2026 shies away from the level of disdain for cops routinely exhibited by children's cartoons circa 1996.
seeing a lotta great slarpg art on the timeline so it's as good a time as any to share mine!
