Meanwhile, in 2026, I am using command-line antigravity to try to debug why desktop GUI antigravity keeps crashing. "Progress."

Oh wow! Well, I guess there's a first time for everything, even if nearly 40 years needs to go by.

"Works perfectly!" said the note I wrote to myself when I put it in on the rack four years ago. And if it's on for more than two minutes, it won't POST enough to get this far. Another project for if I eventually try to learn (and succeed at) electronics repair.

New content, new combat playstyle, new modding capabilities, new quests. After 1200 hours, time to reinstall Cyberpunk 2077 and go through it one last time (after I finish the anime).

// NEW UPDATE INCOMING… [v.2.5][22.10.26]

AI disclaimer: "F you" How is RE'ing then porting DOS games to Windows more desirable than just running them in an emulator? Is everyone going to burn the planet to port every single game to every single target now? Why is this appealing? (Answering myself: Adding new features, I guess?)

Also: Betting real money the author sidn't bother checking if the source had already been released (which it was, a few years ago).

i was fortunate enough to profile Margaret Hamilton in 2019. A really kind and curious person. This was my favorite story she told me:

Replying to @doublepulsar.com

Well done to the person in charge of Surface for doing a presentation where Surface wasn’t spelled correctly.

I have effectively lost all desire to code, AI-assisted or otherwise. When results no longer take effort, where is the sense of achievement? Alternate take: When meticulously hand-crafted assembly is lazily dismissed as AI-generated, where is the motivation to work on projects any more?

Watching how Megademica 4K builds its uv tables is almost as fascinating as watching the intro play. What an insane thing to build and script in 4K. www.pouet.net/prod.php?whi... Self-mod code, stack for fast table traversal and other Z80 tricks I used myself in the 80s, but the pattern generator...

https://people.kernel.org/monsieuricon/creepy-crawlies This is…bad, actually. Someone describes it as the social contract of the web collapsing and I don’t think that’s an overstatement. The core problem is that generating a website is usually more expensive than loading it.

Well, I know what animated movie from 1986 I'll be watching tonight. Trivia: The 4:3 version of Transformers is the intended experience; that's how it was presented in its theatrical run. One 4k UHD version crops in to fit 16:9, which also isn't much of a picture upgrade at that zoom level.

This is a perfectly valid and rational response, but I can't directly thank @karaboo.bsky.social because they limited who could reply. Thank you. Reaching out has always been my first action when hopelessly stuck. But on some projects, a point is reached where they are just as hopelessly stuck.

What I've learned in since posting an AI disclosure: - I should keep my opinions to myself - I am willfully destroying the earth - I should cease all project development - I am a clown - I am, somehow, against human and environmental rights I thought I was being ethical and responsible; guess not.
