I do think when historians look back the period the exact moment where it flipped and started going the other way won’t be anything any politician did but my Minneapolis neighbors weathering the worst of the regime in the streets, rallying together, fighting back, and winning

"So the guy called himself a king" *muffled gasps from the panel* "and he sent thousands of soldiers to quarter in my city" *Washington audibly whispers "what the f-"* "and so we, like, formed this system where we'd call up people within a minute or two if they showed up" Paul Revere: hell yes

Even if this were viable as a concept (that there's an afterlife; that it allows conversations with others; that enslavers are going the same place as you), who cares? Oh, are you mad at me, Ben Franklin? Tough shit.

I always knew the show treated trauma really well, but to see something like PTSD done in that way with a character I already loved so much really was impactful for me. I will always defend Korra, and if I see a single hater, it is on sight

I'm rewatching Korra and just went through Korra Alone. After the year I've had, the things I've seen, and the pains I've suffered, I completely broke when Katara was helping Korra. I have always loved that show, but to be able to relate to Korra as a helper, fighter, and survivor changes everything

REP. @AOC: β€œWe the people demand full protected & restored voting rights… guaranteed healthcare for every American as a right and not a privilege… one job with no need for overtime should be enough for our most basic needs…”

Yeah, please, more leaders talk like this please, it's a winner to bully the biggest losers in history

I'm running for U.S. Senate to: Get Big Money out of our politics. End prior authorization. Pass Medicare for All. Rip ICE apart. Raise the wage. Deliver universal childcare. Secure the right to repair. Block the bombs. Save Social Security. Deliver for the people of Minnesota.

I am on the precipice of the biggest step into the unknown I have taken in many years. The point of no return was long ago, but the big change is tomorrow. I am excited for what is to come, but I will miss what has been. There is no point in fearing the inevitable, I suppose.

Zohran Mamdani never taking off the suit is really funny and also I think genuinely a really good bit of personal branding. He is to some degree making himself a character by always having the same costume on, with occasional modifiers

I will say, the chanes to Pike's character in this part of the story were so bold and I loved them. We kind of got the Cleric's lament, which is just so awesome

Feeling overwhelmed with all of this. LISTEN. Another Louisiana resident (Marshawn is the only name we have) testifies against the state’s racial gerrymander, speaking truth to power up and down the hearing room and predicts how this story will end. Speak your truth, fight and believe.

The next reconstruction: - Expand the House to 700 Seats - Use MMP to create a multi-party system with PR - Use RCV for US Senate elections - End the filibuster + add DC - Limit the power of the Supreme Court - Expand the court to 13 Justices - Term limits and ethics rules for the court

House expansion is crucial. There should be at least 700 House seats.

β€œWhy do we feel a paralyzing sense of dread all the time?” I type into my Paralyzing Sense of Dread Machine that lives in my pocket.

Artemis II has got me the most hopeful I have been in a long time. And that really can't be an exaggeration. The impact of this mission on global mood is undeniably positive and just proves how powerful collaboration and trust in science truly is. The photos are simply unreal. Very happy these days!

Simply the greatest communicator of his generation. The way he infuses history, teaching, understanding, solidarity, and even the relationship between the Irish and New York to bring it home into a short, informative, and respectful message is remarkable. Happy St. Patrick's day to you too, Zohran!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, New York.

Wow, that's a lot of trauma for a random Wednesday night. I did not want to have to deal with this. I just witnessed a house fire. I don't think the guy made it. Fuck, that was fucking scary. It IS scary. Even though it's over. I... need therapy.

I can't stop thinking about what his final moments were like. Was he awake? Was he struggling for air? Was he in pain? If I had looked out my window a few minutes earlier, would he be alive? I did everything right, called 911, alerted everyone I could. But he was not saved. It's not my fault, I know

I am going to book a therapy session tomorrow. This is a really bad trauma for someone like me who is empathetic to a fault. I will imagine what it was like inside that house until I die.
