Nobody's shocked that Jason Miller is the one posting Bolsonaro's refusal to concede. Trumpworld isn't just watching Brazil, they're coordinating. Same playbook, same people, different country. The authoritarian network is global, and it's poison.

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump have lost surprise elections thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

I will never forget seeing the flames spread so quickly up the embankment of vallentin road towards the houses - as we hunker down in this latest storm I am clear we should test our actions in government against whether they will reduce or increase the risk of further extreme weather.

#bbaq Littlewood is a shocker. Wrote truss' budget. Claims the market should 100% control the energy market. Right. Scientific consensus should be left to the market to prioritise if they feel like it? Awful. Unreal. Why BBC?

#anyquestions Littlewood says leave energy to the market. Did anyone manage to say that that is what we do, but set the ruleset to take account of the scientific consensus. The idea the market will decide if they take account of climate change or not is utterly ludicrous. I despair

Not bombshells. Entirely on brand “appalling behaviour” and “extreme racism” from an appalling, extreme and racist party, led by an appalling, extreme and racist man. The apples are all rotten because the tree is. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Terrific piece by @pilitaclark.bsky.social on what to do about Britain's broken energy system, making strong case for more central planning and state control to reduce cost of capital to drive. Agree that Dieter Helm seems to have sadly drifted off the reservation... www.ft.com/content/2d99...

ft.comPower failure — what went wrong with the UK’s energy system? As Britain faces rising bills alongside the need to decarbonise, one industry expert blames botched privatisations — but another plays down climate change and the value of renewables

@bestforbritain.org say that "It's not just a case of a few bad apples. This is a systemic vetting failure by Reform UK" Certainly not a few bad apples Certainly systemic But is it just a vetting failure? Surely these ppl represent who Reform are, who they want, why they exist & who they attract?

Jenrick on #r4today trying to downplay the raging racism of Reform… by saying “Farage has done more than anyone else to stand up against racism and the far right”. Farage the schoolboy Nazi. Farage the ‘breaking point’ Brexiter. Farage the mass-deportations champion. Farage the far right racist.

Who voted for Lord Botham or Lord Lebedev to rule over British laws? Nobody did. The EU is considerably more democratic than the UK.

#wato Unreal that the Brexit stormtroopers have already succeeded in making labour retreat on #brexit Unreal Russia, libertarian right wing from US and other places affected the Brexit referendum. Yes. Of course. No doubt. Or put another way, lies affected the referendum.

When Ukraine destroys Russian data centers, hoards of aggressive right-wing bots disappear & the internet becomes friendlier. So much of politics is driven by the internet & so much of the internet is driven by Russians who want to hurt us. Shouldn’t we do something about that, given that we know it

#r4today Unbelievable that Doughty is not prepared for Webb's aggressive "show evidence" of Russian interference in Brexit. But, return to the EU won't be achieved by sound bites around finances and Russia. Burnham needs to start explaining why the EU is good, & be prepared to evidence all.

Grim. The rise of selfish politics. As is BadEnoch's ban on supporters of #netzero in the Tory party. And the fact that most hearing lots about the Tory conference will have forgotten about her blood tryst on NetZero and ECHR human rights. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/o...

Oh blimey, here we go again. Time to vote in the National Trust AGM to keep so-called 'Restore Trust' off the council. Use the quick vote to ensure we don't split the anti-Restore vote. Or.... 1/2 www.nationaltrust.org.uk/who-we-are/a...

Britain still has a long way to go Reluctant self interest certainly not enough to convince Europe or survive a UK campaign to rejoin. Someone needs to start to sell the real broadband benefits, including the euro

This is all very nice on Burnham's opening the door a little on EU matters, but I've been having conversations in Brussels about the UK's choices since at least 2023 and nothing has basically changed since then. www.ft.com/content/3d43...

On this Peter Oborne column in @bylinetimes.bsky.social September issue, I can certainly 100% agree. The World Tonight and the Midnight news cut by BBC News does feel like a bereavement. Comments on Rajan, and Mishal Hussain - yes, quite right. BBC, beloved, but heading in the wrong direction.

#r4today Michael Gove, whispering his fake "balanced" and "reasonable" nonsense, as usual. Today team know nothing at all, right? On all the major topics? Or maybe it's just the "controversial" topics where they know nothing?

Tells us all we need to know about Kraft and his family. And that this whole Sheeran story is 'real'

Lisa Guerrero@lisaguerrero.bsky.social

Not only did I meet Robert Kraft, I worked for him. His kid Jonathan asked me to “remove the black music” from my gameday playlist in ‘94 & I refused so they fired me. I was the cheerleader director at the time. I sued them for wrongful termination and won. So yes, I know that motherfucker.
