I think the strategist’s name rhymes with Battely Karp.

Seth Abramson@sethabramson.bsky.social

I want to meet the Republican political strategist who got all the important people in Washington together a few weeks ago and said okay everybody we're just going to send him out there to hallucinate in public, tell racist jokes, and talk about how hot he thinks certain guys are

Poland’s Foreign Minister Sikorski: basically calling Trump a liar. “The US no longer finances this war since January of last year. In other words, for more than a year and a half. The US has not contributed a single cent to the defense of Ukraine. We are doing it. Europe.”

Trump seeks to label Democrats as communists, but he was the one who rolled out the red carpet for Chinese President Xi Jinping and kissed his ass. He is clearly Putin’s comrade and buying government stakes in private companies, so why aren’t more people calling out this bullshit? #ComradeTrump

Jesse Watters claimed Obama started the Wall Street bailouts. President George W. Bush did in the last months of his second term. He pushed for and signed Emergency Economic Stabilization Act in October 2008. The financial crisis also started under GW Bush.

The Trump administration is considering data center-related projects across at least 17,600 acres of public land — far more than previously reported. Reminder: 70% of Americans oppose data centers, but Trump is heavily invested in the corporations pushing AI. Always follow the money.

The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate. The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns. Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care. Big Tech buys off Congress. No action on AI safety. The list goes on and on. Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

There are at least two provisions in the U.S. Code that make it illegal to offer or accept a $5,000 "GOP Dividend" for voting. Both the offerer (Donald Trump) and the accepter (good luck with that!) are liable for fines and jail time.

Huge corporations like Amazon, Walmart, and Uber are among the top employers of SNAP and Medicaid recipients. Meanwhile, their CEOs are raking in multi-million dollar pay packages. How is this not a bigger scandal?

More than 70% of Texas data centers refused to answer a state-mandated inquiry about their water use. These Corrupt Bigshots want our water while keeping Texans in the dark about how much they're taking.

I don’t get it. Wyoming might be able to affect the power or rights of Wyoming-formed corporations. But how would they be able to stop other states’ corporations from making political donations? And would this mean that corporations are not empowered to make charitable contributions as well?

According to @publiccitizen.bsky.social, corporate spending in the midterms has reached an all-time high of $646M, driven largely by cryptocurrency and Big Tech groups. How can we get Big Money out of politics? A Montana ballot measure could hold the answer.

It seems the leopard is eating its own face.

Trump: "The only reason that communities should not want Data Centers is if they want to end up being backwards and poor. ... The good news is that there are plenty of other places that want them. If we kill the Golden Goose, you will only have yourselves to blame."

Yes. Same as failing to discipline an outta control toddler.

Missouri's Amendment 3 would restore an abortion ban with limited exceptions, but its advertising is focused on a different provision: banning gender transition care for minors. The campaign never explicitly states it would repeal the constitutional right to abortion voters approved 2 years ago.

He is not a one-man wrecking ball. There are 53 Republicans senators and 218 Republican house members. they are collectively the wrecking ball. If Congress would exercise its check on presidential abuse of power, we would not be where we are.

Jon B. Wolfsthal@jonatomic.bsky.social

The idea that we can reassure our allies when the President is a one man wrecking ball and the party he leads silently goes along with his undermining allies and supporting our enemies is a bad joke. One US political party is not serious about US security.
