Look, it's not Canada's fault it takes an entire forest of sage to try to smudge out the U.S.'s evil spirits.

Carney: "In a time of rising populism and ethnic nationalism, Canada can show how diversity is a strength, not a weakness... Canada can't solve all the world's problems. But we can show that another way is possible. That the arc of history isn't destined to be warped toward authoritarianism".

All I'm reading from around the world is effusive praise for Carney's eloquent and frank speech to the world today. Then, I must endure reading pathetic domestic partisans tearing apart his words to fuel their own angry, sad souls. Canada isn't broken, YOU ARE. #cdnpoli

1) This is a very funny criticism of Carney’s speech. 2) Everyone knew exactly what he was talking about, but Trump won’t care since it didn’t mention him personally. Not a bad tactic IMHO!

Prime Minister Carney's speech at Davos today was honest, realistic, pragmatic, brilliant, and received a rare standing ovation. He reportedly wrote it himself, not speechwriters. In an era of great power rivalry, Canada is choosing to be principled and pragmatic. To name reality, to act together, and to build what we claim to believe in.

That is incorrect. Canada specifically said they will NOT pay to join the Board of Peace. PM Carney agreed "in principle" to join the Board pending actual details. Basically: "we'll work in good faith if this is serious, but we're bailing if it's not."

7/ Dude just announced a day ago he's agreed in principle to be part of the executive board for Trump's New World Order, and (again see #4 ⬆️) isn't disputing the $1-billion sign up cost, but sure it is a breakup (?!). I think the nondescript word people use for this is "pragmatist" or something...
