🔥 OBAMA: “The thing is, Iran didn’t have nuclear weapons — because I put a deal in place he pulled out of… and the war he started is why the price of everything is UP… how much time do you think Hegseth spends looking at himself in the mirror? These are not serious people.”

Knocking on doors and making those calls to get out the vote for Marni Von Wilpert!! Let's flip CA-48! Just tell a neighbor or two or three. #MarnivonWilpert #MarniForCA-48 #MarniforCongress

This is so embarrassing it makes me want to crawl under a table

oh my god this interview was a disaster for Zacharia. I've never seen Hannity do someone who works for Trump like this

Three little kids and a teacher were shot and killed at their school today in Bend, Oregon. Two more were injured. Our hearts are broken and we’re angry. It’s disgraceful that extremists keep blocking critical, lifesaving laws while kids die in their classrooms. America can do better. It must.

Trump wants to make sure it’s as easy as possible for his friend Putin to bomb apartment buildings and kill children. He’s not just the worst president in history, he’s the most evil person to ever serve at the highest level of government. Vote out his weak Republican enablers.

Let me see if I understand this . . . 1. The U.S. is at war with Iran. 2. Russia is helping Iran in that war. 3. The U.S. is now giving Russia money that it can use to help Iran destroy U.S. bases and kill U.S. troops. Donald is smart & patriotic like that.

The first Russian diesel cargo heading for the US left St Petersburg on September 22, two weeks *before* Trump announced the deal with Putin, Windward reports. The Greek-flagged tanker Minerva Zen carrying 275,000 barrels of diesel/gasoil is due at the US East Coast around 11–12 October.

For all their screaming about us being commies who want to ruin America, DT being besties w/Putin and recently making trade policies that lean North Korean don't ever seem to come up on Fox news. And we burned Ukraine. This is the opposite of how to make friends, we've betrayed almost every ally.

Zelenskyy says Trump has betrayed Ukraine.

“We are enforcing the nation’s laws. Why is that controversial?” The Fugitive Slave Act. The Three-Fifths Compromise. The Nuremberg Laws. Dred Scott. The Indian Removal Act. The Law for Protection of German Blood. Anti-miscegenation laws. The Defense of Marriage Act. The Reichstag Fire Decree.

Aaron Reichlin-Melnick@reichlinmelnick.bsky.social

Mullin began the press conference by saying "We are enforcing this nation's laws. Why is it controversial? Why would that be controversial?" As if all of human history doesn't show that laws and their enforcement can be very controversial (e.g., the 1765 Stamp Act and its impact on U.S. history).

This ICE agent’s entire Instagram feed, “shooter.914,” is guns, watches, energy drinks, and alcohol.

Dhruv Mehrotra@dmehro.bsky.social

NEW: Footage from Thursdays shooting shows an ICE agent in a construction vest brandishing a rifle. His name is Brenden Cuni. Federal judges have found multiple arrests involving Cuni unlawful. He has been accused of repeatedly Tasing a handcuffed man and tackling a pregnant woman in Minneapolis.

So POTUS intends to buy fuel from Russia to fund their war against Ukraine. IMPEACH HIM.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

This is completely outrageous and disgusting. This must immediately be blocked by Congress and Trump should be impeached for this. The US is now funding Putin’s war machine as he murders civilians including children. We are lost as a country.

Loved tuning into Lawrence O'Donnell tonight and seeing the Democrat candidate looking to flip CA-48, Marni Von Wilpert!! She gets who lives in this district. And no matter what political party, everyone can see the recklessness of Trump. Let's go Marni!! Let's flip CA-48!!

Marni von Wilpert for Congress@marnivonwilpert.bsky.social

Donald Trump’s words are dangerous. San Diego is not expendable. Our service members are not expendable. Our families are not collateral damage. When I’m in Congress, I will immediately vote to end Trump’s illegal and costly war with Iran.

Unfortunately, this is 💯

MeidasTouch@meidastouch.com

Tim Snyder: The term that I came up with… is superpower suicide. I just can’t see an example of a major country losing so much power so quickly as the United States under Trump. We’ve encouraged our enemies and we’ve made our allies not trust us.

DOJ is continuing its equally embarrassing and alarming practice in the second Trump administration of going after federal judges who push back against lawlessness and support the rule of law. Today, they filed a judicial complaint against Minnesota federal judges who spoke to The New York Times.

In case Americans getting ready to vote forgot about Operation Metro Surge, the Trump administration killing people, and all of the other governmental lawlessness, Todd Blanche wants you to remember.

Chris Geidner@chrisgeidner.bsky.social

DOJ giving more attention right now to the NYT story about a former Scalia clerk and GWB appointee discussing his court overseeing the horrors the Trump administration has inflicted on Minnesota and the threats the judges faced for doing so is certainly a choice. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/17/u...

In lawsuits trying to keep an entire class of American citizens from voting, the GOP has openly admitted that the reason they want to disenfranchise the Americans is that they don't tend to vote for Republicans. The most anti-American, anti-Constitutional cult ever.

I think one of the undercurrents of our fractured political reality is that basically everyone has come to realize that the people who rule the world do not possess any particularly impressive level of intelligence or capability

Today I learned that Jack Smith is a Caitlin Clark fan and that Amy Klobuchar knows more about sports than Eric Schmitt.

Decades from now when the histories of this era are written, Jack Smith will be remembered as someone who did his job honorably and told the truth without fear or prejudice.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Jack Smith: "Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation ... rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 election, he engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power"

Persistent Ginger reposted

This. It has always been this. A sitting American president did this. And because he did this, he should have been convicted and put behind bars. And the fact that we never held him accountable for these crimes will forever stain this country. And we may never recover from it.👇

Jack Smith: "History teaches that the rule of law is rarely destroyed all at once. It's often weakened by attacks on the institutions and the public servants sworn to uphold it. Since January 2025, we have witnessed precisely such an effort."
