And the freaking greatest thing I have ever seen: this intersection has a traffic signal that is set by DEFAULT for pedestrians and cyclists, cars have to activate to cross. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

There it is. Elon Musk admits it. “That loophole was closed last week.” In a deranged post on X, Musk openly acknowledges that SpaceX recently restricted Ukraine’s ability to use Starlink.

“cars (SUVs and trucks) are the leading cause of traffic congestion worldwide, dwarfing other forms of transportation such as skateboards, scooters, bicycles, wheelchairs, army tanks and shoes.”

This is who we share the roads with. So please stop the “cyclists are so dramatic” bullshit.

TW Last week our client was cycling in Hamilton. He passed James Newlands in his grey pickup truck. Words were exchanged, Newlands sped unsafely past our client then brake checked. Shocking video confirmed Mr. Newlands intentions & shed light on this terrible incident of road rage 1/3

Introducing Toronto's first (?) election night live result projection! Over the course of election night, the CN Tower will move along the bike wheel tracking who is more likely to be elected mayor as the votes come in! I've included a sneak preview of the page from my testing.

Starting to understand how Trump ran an Atlantic City Casino into the ground. Pulling shit like threatening to rename a Great Lake just to be annoying is not something you do when you've got cards left to play

All the time here in #Ptbo…

I have gotten earbud volume warnings while the volume is on max and I legitimately could not hear the podcast i was listening to because cars on the road next to me were so loud.

As the Trump & Carney Govts finger point about the cataclysmic ending of trade discussions, it’s a moment where credibility and past track records come in handy. Based on those, we can have confidence that Canada will be generally telling the truth, and everything the Trump Govt says will be a lie.

The whole world needs to stand up to this out-of-control, corrupt, narcissistic bully and criminal, who literally doesn’t care that he’s imploding the US economy, hurting countless families and businesses, and dragging the entire global economy down with him. It actually may be his specific intent.

Got a good job down at the Data Center. I work on the line, and it's hard work but it's honest and the wage is fair; my family and I are grateful for it. I rivet the word "absolutely" onto the little apologies that chatbots do when they misunderstand a prompt.

Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

Riding bikes is 10X more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities. And that’s just the climate emissions. Doesn’t include the massive public & personal cost difference, the air & noise pollution difference, the massive space difference, etc, etc…Via @theconversation.bsky.social

Attended Ptbo TSP Pic 1 on Wed evening. Heard via a friend, poorly signed, supposed to be information gathering from public, info provided was light and generic. It was sparsely attended - not much info was gathered to inform “plan as driven by citizen input”. www.connectptbo.ca/safemovesptbo

Now learning that another consultant created a report for #Ptbo on the transportation safety topic 4 years ago and yet it is not referenced/sourced in this new project. Seems like paying consultants every few years so you can keep saying you are working on it…

This was actually available 10 days ago but is only getting emailed out now. Working group folks only heard through the grapevine. It will be reviewed at committee in 6 days and then council the week after. There is no clarity and new limits regarding commenting in public. #process

Wait. For. It. NASA animation shows Global temps warm slowly at first, then rapidly. Warming is accelerating! Here’s the truth. It’s real. It’s us. And we have to come to terms with it, and deal with reality, rather than deceiving ourselves, and hoping it goes away. It won’t… without intervention.

Great to see this noise problem being discussed. Can they do dark tinted windows with a cameras too? I sometimes wait for cars to leave if I, the pedestrian/cyclist, can’t make eye contact for my own safety. Noise pollution and black windows both endanger others!
