Oh man... Lotta denial already about our latest research: sparktoro.com/blog/new-res... Some faves: "Does Google search FEEL like the safe thing?" ๐Ÿค” "I think the numbers lie." ๐Ÿ™„ "You have to wonder how long search as we know it has. Soon everyone will just talk to their personal AI assistant" ๐Ÿ˜‘

I worked on a site that had this issue recently and I was a real PITA. Great to see @sitebulb.com giving us an easy way to find them ๐Ÿ˜Š

Third time I have encountered a site that caches requests to 404 pages, then on the next request to the same URL returns a 200 and serves the cached error page ๐Ÿ˜‚ @sitebulb.com being cool and adding in a double-404-check thing to catch these!

I was so fucking angry after seeing the way Trump and his pitiful piece of shit sidekick Vance treated Zelenskyy today, I was fucking shaking. When my partner asked me what was up and I tried to explain it to her, I started to cry. I've sat on it for the last 12 hours, and I'm still fucking furious.

Marco Rubio is like having Tom Wambsgabs as Secretary of State, a man whose ambition is to be an empty suit, on board to take any stance, say anything, whatever the boss wants, and sponge up some of the pain that comes back, all for the trappings, the title, the plane rides, the suits, to be there.

๐Ÿงต Just starting to use the #flashes app to view BlueSky image content. Being able to select and arrange your images in a grid #portfolio is awesome. Better than Instagram!! I never really liked the limitations of the square format, but Iโ€™ll take it. Who else is using Flashes? #artists

This week has been nuts, super busy, long hours, average sleep, and very little time for fun stuff. At about 11:45pm a couple of nights ago, I thought to myself, should I go to bed, or should I fix the Lamy Safari stub nib I bought ages ago and never really loved? Of course, the fountain pen won.

In a sleep deprived state on the first night, I had damaged the feed ๐Ÿคฆ It looked OK but clearly wasn't giving my nib what it needed. I grabbed a feed from a spare Safari, fitted it to my pen, inked up and crossed my fingers ๐Ÿคž OMG it works flawlessly!!! I was stoaked!

I quickly got the nib in to a shape that liked and started polishing. By 1am the nib looked great, but just would not write... Blergh! It would hard start, then write ok for a couple of words, then run lean and write really thin before choking out completely. I threw the towel in and went to bed.

Over the next couple of days, in the little scraps of time I could steal, I kept tinkering. Adjusting the grind here, checking gaps, polishing, repolishing, all with super inconsistent results. What was going on? I've done this before. It looks great! WHY WON'T IT WRITE!!! Then it dawned on me.

I picked up this Lamy 1.1mm stub nib a few months back, and it wrote smooth and wet, but it was kind of rounded. It wrote like a broad and didn't have the line variation I was expecting. Exhausted but determined to do something that wasn't work, I busted out my diamond stone and micro mesh.

I'm in Australia. There is no way for me to influence the opinions of US voters. Yet every day, I wake up in a world shaped by the decisions of US voters. I'm f**king sick of it. The US is a f**king clown show at the moment.

All I wanted was a relaxing weekend and some sleep after a super busy/stressful week, but my son has caught some sort of virus and is super sick now and I've spent the night on a spare bed in his room with him waking every 30 mins ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Maybe I can rest next weekend...

Lmao! Facts!

Itโ€™s fun starting a new hobby with ADHD because I never know if Iโ€™ve found a new lifelong passion or if Iโ€™m going to spend $2000 on stuff and immediately lose all interest

Spending the evening watching YouTube while polishing my new (to me) Montblanc 24 fountain pen. I picked this up on eBay a couple of weeks ago, and it arrived yesterday. It's in great shape overall, but someone left ink in it many years ago, which had dried and glued everything together.

All the parts have spent time in my ultrasonic bath today and have come up great! It should look and work like new once it's polished, greased and reassembled! Not bad for a pen that was made about 60 years ago ๐Ÿ˜Š

I've wanted a 24 for quite a while but had been waiting for one at the right price. This one came as a set with a Montblanc 24 fountain pen, 26 mechanical pencil and 28 ballpoint, all in their original case. I've already restored the pencil, and it looks good and new now! So happy with it!

My fountain pen is full of molten gold (said in the voice of Goldmember from Austin Powers) ๐Ÿ˜‚ I had a couple of new inks arrive today and had to give this one a go before I went to bed. The shimmer is just insane! It's Van Diemen's Greek Heros Alexander. So cool ๐Ÿ˜

So pretty! This bottle is going to have to live on my desk for a while so I can play with it. I hope everyone on the fountain pen feed is having an awesome day! โ˜บ๏ธ

I won an auction for a vintage Montblanc set this morning, including a Montblanc 24 fountain pen, 28 ballpoint, and 26 mechanical pencil. The seller is in Serbia and didn't have a lot of feedback... The price was just too good to pass up, though ๐Ÿ˜†

I figured everything looks good in the pics, and eBay's buyer protection is pretty good, so why not take a chance? I've wanted a 24 for ages but just hadn't pulled the trigger on one. If everything is in good condition, it will be really nice to have the matching set ๐Ÿ˜Š

The showing of โ€œRussians at Warโ€ by the Antenna Documentary Film Festival in Australia should be stopped. The representation of soldiers who have systemically raped, looted, tortured, burned, kidnapped and murdered their way through #Ukraine as โ€˜normal soldiersโ€™ is untrue & Russian propaganda.
