This is taking the greens from respectable/growing to racist antisemitic extremism
It's not good enough for the Greens to try to brush this off. Fanning the flames of division makes them no better than Farage. I've worked locally with Green cllrs who will be appalled. I'm sure some will be considering if they can remain in the Green Party. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
First question I've ever tried with meta.ai - what are the top news headlines in the UK. Answers very wrong based on old info (wrong prime minister for example, despite correctly stating today's date). Not good as a general consumer-oriented chat interface.

Trump’s policies are just odd - making the US weaker,. alienating his core supporters, effecting the opposite of his supposed policy intents. incompetance? anterior motives - no idea, but it’s like !maga it seems…
"We're in this place where China has leapfrogged America to become the place you go to sort out the problems of the world," says Emily Maitlis. Has Donald Trump made such a mess of his war in Iran, that China is now the world's leading superpower? www.thenewsagents.co.uk/article/have...

Excellent piece from Fraser Nelson - definitely worth a read - frasernelson.substack.com/p/how-jews-a...
I continue to be utterly astounded as to the support reform has. Yes we have problems but division, spite, xenophobia, incompetence, lining the pockets of the rich, are not the answer
Seems like the closest Labour have been to Reform in a poll for a while. But having returned to work this week and thinking about polling again, it seems to me that trying to work out where any of this will be in 6 months time, never mind by the next election is not the best use of time.

Brexit: So much work. So much time. So many resources. So much red tape. And yet so little progress. In fact, just relentless loss, risk and failure. It’s so mind-numbingly tedious. And no one who did this damage is ever held to account. But god they make a fuss about fixing it.
The Peston show asked me to update my back-of-the-envelope estimates of the benefits of the UK-EU reset. Take a look
Oh this is a difficult one, but I can't help thinking this is a slippery slope we're caving in to - and this is not going to lead to a good outcome.
NEW: UK confirms it will allow the US to use RAF Fairford & Diego Garcia to conduct strikes on missile sites/capabilities being used to attack ships in Strait of Hormuz Starmer met with ministers today to discuss Iran targeting commercial shipping & attacks oil & gas facilities
One slight sight of restraint from #Israel in not attacking #Iran #oil fields. Will it hold. who knows. I strongly hope #UK is restrained.Allowing use of #US airbases here makes me uncomfortable. WE DID NOT START A WAR WITH IRAN. We were involved in dialog, diplomacy. #Trump and #Netanyahu dangerous

Ukraine was attached. USA is the attacker ?
“When you rang our doorbell to help with Ukraine, did you get help? Of course you did. Now President Trump is asking you for help have you said yes? You’ve said no.” Former White House Special Envoy to the Middle East Jason Greenblatt on whether the US and Europe are still allies.
stupid net zero — ha ha. Try looking at the gulf and the cause of wars right now. totally agree we need to accelerate this even further not pull back
While Reform bang on about ’stupid net zero’ and do all they can to undermine the vital steps we need to take to mitigate the worst of climate outcomes - what do they say to this? buff.ly/5gOEB3L

It is extremely difficult to construct a practical case against this position. Net Zero is now as much about patriotism as it is about climate change.
President Macron making the case for renewables in light of the US-Israeli attack on Iran, "Everything we do to move towards transition is also about reducing our dependence and therefore our exposure to geopolitical risks"

It is THE fundamental problem. To survive and prosper we must make billionaires history. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
the level of hypocrisy in some of the press (this time it's the right, I'm not saying it's always that side!) is just awesome A bit like around the EU Have your cake and eat it - works great if you're a multi millionaire.
So the right wing want a war but not to pay the costs as it hits the fuel price.

So, Johnson, Farage, Badenoch, the Telegraph… howl about the UK being “an irrelevance on the world stage”. Remind me again who decided to isolate us with a strategically and economically idiotic Brexit, relying on a trade deal with the US to save us from exactly the kind of weakness they now bemoan.
