The federal government’s decision to award a small Texas law firm run by a Trump ally a $150 million contract to represent migrant children is an attempt to undermine their rights and fast-track the removal of minors, immigrant legal aid organizations say. ohiocapitaljournal.com/briefs/child...

EDSITEment - a project National Endowment for the Humanities with 30 years of development and over 1,000 lesson plans and resources for K-16 students that attracted 2.5 million visitors per year - appears to have been archived and is no longer accessible. This is what the #NEH has become.

This seems bad.

The scene was concerning enough to prompt the homeless shelter staff to call the fire department. A woman using a walker had shown up, incontinent and carrying “a large bag of medications.”

We are funding the regime we are bombing and the regime helping to target attacks against us because of the predictable effects of the bombing. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something seems off here.

To help control spiking oil prices during the war in the Middle East, the U.S. is turning to an unlikely source for help: a network of tankers with ties to the Iranian military.

✋ Former USG war crimes lawyer here. Apropos of SecDef's remarks this morning: Denial of quarter—even the declaration of no quarter—is a war crime. And recognized as such by the US Government. From DoD's Manual for Military Commissions.

EXCLUSIVE: At more than 30 installations, U.S. commanders told troops the war on Iran is a Christian war. The Military Religious Freedom Foundation has been “inundated” with more than 110 complaints. One NCO said they were told the U.S. war is to bring about Armageddon and the return of Jesus…

War is not a morality play. The relevant question isn’t: Are the targets bad people who have done bad things? The relevant question is: Will going to war make things better, achieving something that’s worth the death and suffering it causes?

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work. "We're waiting for information from the Provost on that."

At 19? He still needs full, time supervision? I would say that mother and son have a bond that is disgustingly close. Just Wow. I had two 19 year olds and one of them was on the spectrum and he didn't need constant supervision. Just gross #USDemocracy www.thedailybeast.com/melania-trum...

Well they can't pull all this shit and then tell us not to drink

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

The ongoing debate over the health harms of alcohol took a turn after the United States dropped its long-standing guidance to consume no more than one or two drinks per day. It marks a pull back in messaging for the federal government. https://wapo.st/3NBgEaw

FOX: Let's talk about the jobs number. Less than expected. How much of a disappointment is that? HASSETT: Oh, it's not really. The unemployment rate dropped a lot. Because of rounding it's actually a bigger drop that you can see if you only look at the first digit.
