I could spend the rest of my life analysing this feedback sign in the local Home Bargains. Did 'not happy' break from overuse? Was it taped over to ensure 100% positive feedback? Is the green 'b' in 'feedback' some kind of subliminal nudge? Is the duck tape indent because people still keep pressing?

And on this note, surely signing the petition to save Radio 4 Extra can't hurt: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/sa...
I made a little show as an extra for BBC Radio 4 Extra (pretty much in my own time): it’s being repeated to mark 20 years since the death of Nigel Kneale. This sort of bonus (dare I say it Reithian?) content will not be possible once the station goes in March. Enjoy: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

This man who didn't know PHP existed until yesterday morning has been covering the CyberSecurity beat for 12 years, according to his public speaker profile that he has because he's a member of the weird elite class of pundits who don't actually know their beat that journalism substitutes for experts

University of Nottingham, right now, is cutting 560 jobs. Do we need to rebrand universities as very large, very clean, land-based oil rigs to get government support?
From the govt's press release: "The developer estimates that Jackdaw will create 27 new direct jobs and safeguard 273 existing jobs that would otherwise be lost." Odd that so much is made about this being good for jobs. Your nearest out-of-town supermarket likely generates more jobs.
Amazing. This is what happens when you take humans out of the equation. Funny here, but terrifying to think about other mistakes it's making in more serious contexts that aren't caught or obvious. Just Eat apologises for AI food mistakes after social media ridicule www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I love Radio 4 Extra and it gave me some of my favourite jobs including Newsjack. I am gutted to hear this news, not least because it is my almost constant companion in my car. I want to be able to stumble across programmes that I might not have chosen to listen to - please sign the petition
Keep pushing this guys. The people who love this station the most probably aren't chronically online like we are so we need to spread this about a bit you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/sa...

Bad news: the BBC is set to scrap Radio 4 Extra. 📻 Losing this treasure trove of classic comedy, archive drama, and timeless storytelling would be a huge blow for millions of us. Sign the petition to help save it 👇 you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/sa...

Here's my summary of why websites are offline right now, and why nerds are laughing at the number 4. I've attempted to explain the jargon in use, so those interested but not working in tech have a chance at understanding what's going on.
Hmm, can anyone get to tvlicensing.co.uk? I get 'This request was blocked by our security service' and an error 'We are sorry, our website isn't available at the moment. We are working hard to get it back up and running. Please try visiting us again tomorrow" Does anyone know what's happening?

The approval of the Jackdaw gas field is an environmental catastrophe. But also, side-eyeing this from an industry which has lost THIRTY THOUSAND JOBS in the past five years, what the absolute fuck is this justification?
