Heat pumps & insulation would cut living costs more than new oil fields Isn't it strange how Andy Burnham's "pragmatic" approach to the North Sea involves doing exactly what fossil fuel lobbyists want? No party is serious about dealing with the cost of living unless they also tackle climate change

Here's an easy way to show the wonderful volunteers of the RNLI that those right wing numpties absolutely do not represent everyone. 38d.gs/jpcf
All you fuckers that drive anti cycling narrative, you have blood on your hands. However minor your demonizing, dehumanizing contribution, have a think if you could ever have done better.

Also, though, the stats showed, for the period counted, 78k cyclist casualties and 60k of those involved a car. If you want to make cycling safer, ban cars
I was just having a discussion about helmet wearing and I had cause to look at the govt stats which showed 4,000 casualties (including “slight” so not just ksi) per bn miles* cycled. I’ve had a good year and have done ~4,000 miles this year, but I’d still have to do that for another 60 years to..
I used to be a vehicular cyclist, "just enforce driving rules better" then I listened to people and thought. I then realized that a key part of becoming confident in traffic was growing up with the option to just cycle without thinking about traffic.
Bike infrastructure isn’t about catering to existing cyclists. It’s about opening up access, independence, and opportunity for those who can't drive. Cities that invest in cycling are actively choosing to give more people the freedom to move through their communities. LISTEN: bccycling.ca/podcast

"sneaky assault on civil liberties”. Fuck these dinosaurs. How is driving safely and considerately an attack on anything other than ill manners. Driving is not a right, driving fast certainly is not.
