Jacob Geller is no longer a part of MinnMax. He won't be on content moving forward and we won't be publicly airing this week's episode of The MinnMax Show. We're in shock and deeply hurt. Thank you for your patience during this sensitive time.

A quick message from us at QSQL.

This is Kiki. We put her down yesterday due to a sudden illness. She was so young. Loved Star Trek, @dropout.tv, @criticalrole.bsky.social, @redlettermedia.com, and watching video games (Spiderman 2 and Starfield were her favorites). I know she won't be our last cat, but will always be my Number One

Hi Internet! I'm Drew and THIS IS MY FACE. If this GIF has ever brought you joy in the past, I humbly ask you to consider making a donation to the National MS Society. It would mean a lot to me and to those I know affected by the disease! Donate at blinkingguy.com

Hey. Remember that time Sony "sacrificed" a goat at a party to promote God of War II?

I can't stop playing #Marathon. Once I got over the initial hurdle, it's basically perfect. Its not a great product, but a great game.

Linkedin is always full of people spouting absolute bullshit, but today's blast of people/bots who've never worked in or around games trying to act like experts on this Xbox stuff is especially putrid.

CLOSE ENOUGH WELCOME BACK ROB LIEFELD

Help, I'm falling in love with Marathon and I'm scared. Nobody makes games quite like Bungie. For better and for worse.

I mean this respectfully, but what the fuck is going on at #Xbox? I understand studios need to shut down at times but ahhh! Ive understood the reasoning behind almost everything they've done except this 'will they won't they' dance

Yo! It's #GamingNewsRecap Day! This week in video games, Bungie and Sony laid off the whole Destiny team, a Xbox Series S costs now as much as a Xbox Series X at launch and Kojima still don't want to tell us what OD actually is. 5 Pages:

I'm betting that Microsoft sells #Xbox to Amazon by 2029. I'm hoping that I'm wrong but I can't see Xbox successfully spinning off independently or any other company willing to buy it. Except maybe some Saudi VC firm like they did with EA.

You know what doesn't cost $1,049? A PS2 and a copy of Kingdom Hearts. #steammachine

@jeffgerstmann.com youtu.be/SOGZUL53nDo?... You're. Gonna. Finish it!

A lot of doom and gloom about the industry thanks to Xbox, but Steam Next Fest is here to make sure you know gaming is BACK, baby!

Replaying Starfield to see if it's finally clicking with me. It's definitely better than the first time, but its flaws are still apparent and nothing other than a complete rebuild will fully fix it. Having a good amount of fun though.

It's almost like exclusively making Sad Dad™️ games for 30-50 year old men is a bad idea. Aside from Spider-Man and maybe the Horizon games, they have nothing for kids, women, older people, and a whole host of other people.

When I was 8, I found a copy of this game in a dresser in a hotel room. Luckiest day of my life.

I also don't think it's hyperbole to say @austinwalker.bsky.social's review of Battlefield: Hardline is one of THE touchstones for modern games crit. www.avclub.com/battlefield-...

IGN is hiring! We're looking for a US-based news editor working West Coast hours. They will report into me (hello, I'm the director of news at IGN!), and get to do all sorts of cool stuff about video games and entertainment. Lots more at the link! www.ziffdavis.com/careers/jobs...

#ThePitt is still engaging and well acted but the second half of this season feels so stretched that I find it difficult to care about many of the character's stories. And I think some of these past few episodes are pretty poorly edited. Like scenes got shuffled around at the last minute.

Can't get over how well this single image condenses the experience of playing a Hideo Kojima game.

Pre-ordered on day 1

There's also never been a worse time to make games.
