I wish I was exaggerating, 16 games from one dev, all AI slop, all clones of something else, all pumped out in the space of months. That's my experience of what AI tools are enabling, not creativity, not anyone's dream game, but spam. Constant, low effort, neverending, AI generated spam.

Here’s a 3up of the old Heroquest Bloodthirster with some of the other sculpts in the background. We used Chavant clay to sculpt these and they became plastic figures. A few of us sat around a table and worked on these together. We would pick one up, work on it and then move onto a different one.

There's a lot of grumbling about Genshin Impact, some of it justified, but it is also a remarkable work of art, both visually and audibly. The soundtrack now involves over a thousand tracks of beautiful music of many different types and genres.

Recently remembered that Warhammer TV exists, so I've been watching Penitence and Imperial Aeronautica. Both quite good! The stories are pretty simple, but great animation and full points for atmosphere, sounds etc. They're really stepping it up now. Loved the Aeldari air acrobatics.

One thing they don’t tell you about being a working artist is that every once in a while a picture is simply Haunted and, for reasons beyond the reach of man, simple things you have done a thousand times will be Very Hard and Look Bad and you will lose ten years of skill for the duration of that job
