Hey. Browsers. I chose which one of you was my default for a specific reason. It wasn't an accident. I don't need to be "reminded" to change it. And even if I did, I wouldn't need it SEVEN THOUSAND TIMES. Go away.

This week's episode of Lanterns was written by one of the kids from Gullah Gullah Island, and I couldn't be happier about it. I also just found out that the baby from Labyrinth is now a sculptor for stop-motion films.

@samreich.bsky.social You know, I'm pretty sure you've got a lot of fans who are from places like Topeka, who actually like those places, and the other people who live there. Really made you come off like you're DEEP down a cultural silo, and maybe forgot that not everyone is from Cambridge.

I'd like to see the alternate version of that scene where you and Jake have a miserable flight, but end up actually liking the people of Topeka, and not just the livestock. Could've been a cool moment.

Wait ... he was the world's richest man, he was massively influential in the United States, and he had barely more than 1% of Elon Musk's wealth and power in TODAY'S MONEY? It seems like we are WILDLY off the rails right now, by historical standards.

From ‘Outstanding’ and a good reminder that investing in the arts is a win-win, not a lose-lose, proposition.

Say what you will about the boring corporate centrist establishment wing of the Democratic party, but they flipped on Swalwell like a pancake, and he was out in 36 hours. You know, after the FIRST really gross article.

With folks like Warnock and Pritzker and El-Sayed coming out of the woodwork to tell Platner to quit, Bernie's silence is getting more and more awkward all the time.

I don’t understand how people can run for office knowing they have insane baggage and/or crimes. Like I spent the entire campaign expecting AIPAC to somehow dig up my middle school livejournal fanfic account. I prepared my family for it. I’m still amazed it didn’t happen.

Right now the world is full of people who want to code and write and paint and film stuff and people who want to play and read and look at and watch stuff and nobody is allowed to do any of that because some unrelated third guy isn't making enough money off the deal

Our games industry is people. Our studios are people. Our teams people, our games by people for people. Our games are made by people, in groups of people, in teams of people, making people things for people. The magic is people, and the people deserve so much better than all this. I am so sorry.

@maklelan.bsky.social There's this conversation in Disclosure Day where two Catholics discuss whether or not Genesis affirms that Man is God's "supreme creation" ... but I don't remember anything LIKE that in my protestant Bible. Is that based on something Catholic, or did the writer make it up?

Disclosure Day had some GREAT sequences, but there were load-bearing parts of that film that felt like I was watching a Christian movie, except swap in UFOs for Jesus.

My journey through the new Call of Duty trailer: "You play a South Korean soldier caught up in a new Korean War ..." Oh WOW, that's a great new perspective and scenario, I can't wait to– "DON'T WORRY, you're MOSTLY a badass white American who doesn't play by the rules!" ... 😑

People who rely on empty brags and empty threats have no idea how much WEAKER they sound every time they do it. Like shining a spotlight on their own frailties.

Being covered in ants sounds terrible, while being covered in kittens sounds kind of fun. But what if the kittens were the size of ants? How small would kittens need to be, to make the experience of being covered in them unpleasant?

Played through Motorslice this weekend and quite enjoyed it! Favorite part is the very ICO/Last Guardian style of world construction, where the whole game exists as a continuous structure you can see above and below yourself.

The “impatient cow” knock-knock joke was so much funnier than the modern “interrupting cow” version. Without that ONE extra step of interpretation, it doesn’t make your brain work hard enough to be funny. It becomes just a prank, not a joke.

I think what we’re seeing is a realignment of health policy away from science and around the habits of stupid rich people. It’s designed to tell them that everything they’re doing is clever, and the poors need to learn from them.

Has anyone else had Google Maps on their iPhone suddenly start talking to them in a new voice that sounds AI generated, out of the blue, with no prompting? App is muted, I was having a conversation in the car, and suddenly LOUD MAN won’t shut up?

It’s not just the voice that sounds like AI. The sentences have that overwordy, sorry-I-forgot-how-to-stop-talking vibe that AI gets, where it has to take three times as long in order to seem “polite” and “helpful”.

This have anything to do with that 45-minute Putin call?

Someone needs to advise President Trump that our forces stationed on allied soil are in fact critical U.S. military enablers, not trading cards or transactional toys, with host nations to be rewarded for good behavior or threatened with base closure as punishment.
