I genuinely think the LoTR fandom has to be one of the most toxic and uneducated fandom out there. I say this as a die hard fan of Tolkien's works. So much of his work is left to interpretation, deliberate gaps for the imagination. Adaptations creatively filling those gaps is an AWESOME thing
