I’m obviously *shocked* that a flag shagger has turned out to be a nonce.
Ben Cullen, a leading figure of the "Raise the Colours" campaign, will stand trial for three separate charges regarding a total of 78 indecent images of children. I have only seen this covered in local newspapers, so far. Grim as it is, it needs wider coverage www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/2624087...

So, I've got some questions for Nigel Farage, about his £5m gift. Here's one: "You have previously stated that on police advice, you hold no parliamentary surgeries…Given that we now know you have a large private security budget, why are you unable to hold constituency surgeries?" Here's the rest:

The ‘best’ thing about these stories is the way the people involved never seem to reflect for a nanosecond on how absolutely shit things must be for everyone on a fraction of their income.
OMG, I'm frantically worried about Amelia & her poverty 😫: "Amelia, 33, earns £156,000 a year but insists she 'isn't wealthy'. 'We're not buying new clothes and not shopping at all really unless I sell something on Vinted and that becomes a new shopping fund'." #TinyViolin

🚨Gorton and Denton by-election Surely by now we can all see that Reform is a party that thrives on division, fuels anger, and uses the scapegoating of minorities to gain support. We are so much better than that. DON’T BE TAKEN IN BY THE DIVISIVE POLITICS OF REFORM youtu.be/cWWf1mZhlGk?...

I have been very puzzled by the behaviour expertly critiqued here.
There has been a strong reaction to the antisemitism allegations levelled at Nigel Farage - except from those you might have expected to condemn it most loudly. My piece for @jewishnews.bsky.social on a strange silence www.jewishnews.co.uk/jonathan-fre...

On the one hand, anything to distract from reports of his increasingly well-documented, lifelong racism. On the other, if he's told some donors this (& the FT will have sourced this properly) you can be sure that he'd've told others the polar opposite if he thought that's what they wanted to hear.
FT Exclusive: The Reform UK leader told donors he expects a deal or merger between his party and the Conservatives ahead of the next general election, suggesting he does not believe he can sweep to power alone. on.ft.com/44xlHi0

Manchester City play a game of football today. Most of us will be watching. Which makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is why so few care about City’s owner playing an active role in a genocide so gruesome it can be seen from space. By @barneyronay.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/football/202...
